Airsoft - Switchback - 10-21-2011

Airsoft - Bloody Reverb - 10-21-2011

I don;t play Airsoft as a sport, although I do like to shoot my spring-powered G13 pistol. It looks a bit like an M1911. The thing is, I've been having some technical problems: when I cock it, it 'fires' as soon as I've pulled the slide back. Can someone give me some help with fixing it?

I usually shop at airsoftGI because of the top notch support & Seller 15 day warranties(when manufacturers don't have one). For a new Airsofter, I would suggest a G&G Combat Machine M4. they are made from some durable polymer that makes it impossible to break from just a drop, plus they are only 140 for a non-blowback one(and you can get one wired to the rear or to the front) which is pretty great. For a pistol, I would suggest a 12g CO2 gun, way way WAY cheaper than green gas. And propane smells like balls.

Oh, and remember. Safety first, dont carry it out in public without a case EVER, and keep the orange tip on unless your at a arena that does not require it.
AND WEAR EYE PROTECTION.

Thanks for the link and advice, however, I live in RSA (South Africa)
So, I'll have a look for a cheap AEG.

No problem, just be sure to not get a TO cheap AEG, because if its really really cheap its going to have a plastic gearbox andd.....will only last like 20 seconds.

So which manufacturer should I preferably get it from?

Airsoft - Salt - 10-22-2011

I found this, as it seems to be somewhat of an ok-ish quality and is relatively cheap.

There is also this, but for a higher price...

Edit: Or this.

Also; can the GBB's or w/e be powered by a remote hose connected to a Co2 bottle?

Like a pistol or such?

k. JG is a typical Tokyo Marui clone manufacturer, their guns are ok, I havnt had much experience with them, but from other peoples views on them they make pretty durable starter guns. I have not heard of umarex so I wouldn't know much about them, other than they have officially licensed guns. CYMA guns are also a Tokyo Marui clone company, I know less about them than JG.

About GBBs, they use a thing called Green gas which is just propane with a nicer smell. for you, CO2 12g capsules might be better due to region of world and stuff. there are no GBBs that have tubes to external tanks afaik.

I wouldn't agree with this right off. I'll admit that in most cases you don't need a pistol and I don't carry one, but that guy who is wearing no camo there uses his a lot because he can turn and aim a lot quicker with his pistol than he can with his rifle. But that said, it's really an accessory more than a necessity.

I usually buy from here. I don't mind waiting and the prices are good. Also everyone comes from the same place anyway, so if I buy from California, I'm just paying for the shipping from Hong Kong anyway. If they ship to South Africa, it'll probably be a good place to at least look at.

From what I hear, Cyma makes some pretty crappy guns. On top of that, I don't like AKs, so that's a negative for me at least.:P

The Umarex there is probably going to be your best bet out of those three. That's the airsoft licenser for H&K, the real makes of the G36, so when it says authentic, it probably will be. But it might be easier to start out with something without recoil.

Hope that helps.:)

EDIT: ARES produces all the Umarex stuff and just tags it with their logo. It's basically an ARES rifle. My brother actually owns a non-blowback version of that model and likes it. Hope that helps too.:)
