So? If you really had 1,9 mil you could have offered them him. And it's most likely that if you say you do not have the money most people won't hesitate to kill you, like mentioned before. Do you think the pirate cares about you don't have the money? They are doing their 'job' like you do.

Two lines of that length do no qualify as prior RP to an engagement. Engagement starts when your shields hit 50%.

I would consider it bad RP, rudeness, and a possible sanction.

rule break + bad en + no rp.

I think it's just unnecessary to complain more about that case. If you don't want to end up like this again then just be friendly and patient. Mostly this is helping. And just because you got shot, like another trader who tried to get out of a situation like this without paying something, there is no reason to point your finger on it and say it's a rule break. Look here if you search for a term "he didn't let me enough time". It's up to you what how you handle a pirate but just accept when he killed you. What do you think about others? They get killed too and don't complain.

To Lennox: I was attempting to see if I could RP out of the situation

To Odin: I wont pursue this as far as a sanction, but thats what I thought.

I think this guy just did not know how to properly role-play, Right when he said "2mil" I noticed this.

The whole reason I posted this was because I wanted to know what people thought, Not to complain, not to saction, just curiosity.

Sure it does. Asks trader to stop, and then gives reason to shoot him whilst making a demand.
As a pirate all you need to do is make a demand.
That constitutes both reason to shoot a transport and prior RP.
Was it pporly executed? Yes.
Was it bad roleplay? No, actually. It's what most pirates do, only ......shorter, and, like i said, poorly executed.

Bad Pirate Roleplay - Jim283 - 10-25-2011

To DarthBindo: Like I said previously, I think he should of at least said something like: "You can do better than that! Give me at least <insert amount> or I will kill you."

In my opinion it was just bad RP.

Before blaming others I suggest again to be more patient with them. If they just wanna see a blue message then be it so. That's bad RP, yes. But it's not that avoidable, unfortunately. If you think you can do it better then try to keep distance to the pirate and RP...or just flee it doesn't matter. And if you want to avoid being pirated when you pass the systems where most of the lolwuts are hanging around and only waiting for you to kill, then just avoid these systems. One of the reasons why I stopped to powertrade, or to trade in big 'amounts' is because of exactly that reason. But you can do it better. If you have established yourself well and others know you more they will learn too how to play more efficient in terms of RP....think about it. It probably will help.

Not a very talkative pirate indeed.
However there was RP before engagement and demand was made. Hardly a rule violation.
