Survey- Do your parents still love each others and live together? - Zahas - 11-02-2011 they divorced 6 years ago ... stuff went better and better after that time for me and my mom won't say more as you will see i have hate towards my dad Survey- Do your parents still love each others and live together? - Agmen of Eladesor - 11-03-2011 Other, since my Mom has been dead since 1989, and Dad died in 2007. I could answer as if I were one of my own kids, since (honestly) they're older than a lot of you. (My son is 24, daughter is 22.) So from THEIR perspective, their biological parents have been apart for nearly 20 years, and I think there are some feelings quite the opposite regarding love between them. I'll also note (since it's a matter of public record) that while custody of the kids was originally awarded to their bio-mom, that I took custody of the kids from her legally only two years after the divorce - the judge determined that she was an unfit mother. (At least she wasn't involved with drugs at that point in her life - those came later.) Survey- Do your parents still love each others and live together? - Fletcher - 11-03-2011 May as well post mine since others are: My mother and father divorced when I was two and engaged in a... strange war of who I love the most. I was young so I never understood. Then all of a sudden about... what is it... 14 years ago my Dad stopped paying child support and broke all contact. Not heard from him since. Had to learn the things he should have taught me either from TV, my Grandad and other places. Kinda buggered me up but I stabilized. Survey- Do your parents still love each others and live together? - r3vange - 11-03-2011 [color=#FFFFFF]Lolno, mum and dad definitely don't "love" each other (they told me I'm not making it up) Love is temporary it's an attraction, a chemical reaction. It brings marriage however, but marriage is only 10% about love the rest is respect and friendship those two are often called rather incorrectly "love" Then again who the dab am I to know, I'm 20... Sucks to be a lawyer eh?:D So people like you can be a lawyer in the czech republic. That explains a lot  Survey- Do your parents still love each others and live together? - BaconSoda - 11-04-2011 My parents divorced each other when I was 4. Much like Fletcher they engaged my brother and I in a strange kind of struggle over which one of them we'll love more. Unsurprisingly, we just tried to stay completely neutral. It didn't work. I don't know whether or not they still love each other. They probably still do and so they try to spite each other in various ways. For some reason. Getting married is an important choice. Before someone does that, he needs to sit down and seriously think about himself. About what about himself, good question, but he needs to think. Survey- Do your parents still love each others and live together? - SA_Scavenger - 11-04-2011 Lol, marriage as an institution is dead, at least in a typically Christian sense. Its been destroyed, literally. Why any man would get married today is beyond me. You only have no fault divorce, custody battles, maintenance of kids and spouse and the possible erroneous charges of "rape" or "assault" that your soon to be ex-wife will use against you to gain court sympathy, to look forward to. Marriage 50 years ago, hell 30 years ago, was really a good option. Now, getting married is like asking to be hit over the head with a brick multiple times. Chaps, better choose that wife carefully, the deck is in her favour. I should maybe add that my parents are still married but they were married in a time when marriage was much healthier. |
