I suggest you to go omega-7 and get some copperrrrrrrr!!!

Cobalt is better in my opinion.
You can sell it at a rheinland base for ~7000 credits without having to move far away (still in rheinland).
Also, if you intent to move the copper yourself or with a rheinland ship you won't be ablt to enter Liberty lawfully and can't sell it at the Copper Ore's best dropoff point.

I know dublin works fine.

I also don't have a bmm iff or id, which means I get no bonus. I still fill a hege in about 30 mins.

I sort of just morphed my indie trader into an indie miner, so you should still get something unless the fields are disabled.

Well, i have based myself in omega 7.

There are many possibilities over there so it is better than other places for me.

I haven't tried area around RH base and i won't, it is out of my RP.

Don't forget one other minor detail.

Nothing actually really drops - when you hit something it goes directly into your cargo hold.

Indeed.

Third post. It describes how mining on Discovery works - it's quite a moneymaker once you get the hang of it. Basically: Mining turret, mining ship, and a matching ID/IFF of a mining faction, and you're golden to go fill your hold with all the shiny rocks you can find.
