I just want to say it again - I do not want to disputes about Dev skills -
since new ships are an great work, really great..
but unluckly in two smaller ones are repeated mistake from Basalt - the only turret shoot back.
what is burdensome.

how many time You spend on mining? in small ship (not Hegemon)?
it's way more easier maneuver a ship (what also accelerate renewal of the rocks)
than only use turret view.

Jinx made awesome models, and if you dont like - go and do some untill new update.
Or you loved ugly homeworld ships? (If yes - then know, I hate em!).
I can complain about your whinning, because year ago I tried doing mining line myself, and I know how painful it is to make EVERYONE happy in your models.
I will repeat, Jinx's models are awesome (well, Basalt could be better, imo) , and that asymmetric stuff I always wanted to see.
He made those models to replace that shame we had, so you must say thanks to him at least for that.

but it do not have 4x 10 class gun mounts.
in Dactie I could mine and secure myself and the one whom I mine.
and now in Scraper with backfiring turret it;s pain in the arse - it's like back to middleages :/
I do not say that models are bad - they are awesome but not as MINING SHIPS.
and that is my point.

Disappointing that these new models made the same mistake the Basalt did.

Even better, according to http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=115115 (Aeternus' mining guide) the basalt got fixed...

According to that thread this is an "oversight" that will be fixed in the next update.

Put mining turret on a rear hardpoint.
Use turret steering for 360 degree firing.

Better yet, make a ship for one of the following factions, and come mine gas!
