Gravity Gun. If Chell flings something at Gordon through a portal, he can grab it. If Chell opens a portal under Gordon he can grab her and take her too. If Gordon grabs Chell's gun she can cry alot.

Do remember what GLaDOS tells you in the beginning of Portal 1.
Do not touch the operational end of the device. Do not look directly at the operational end of the device.
This makes me think that it does something rather nasty to the human body, as most aperture inventions do.
