If you like Vintage, try the follwoing:
1. Make the shot smaller, perpahs add 2 or 3 of them.
2.Scale the grid, make it smaller.
3. Add Grunge effects on the green screen. Don't make it to obvious, this will make it a tad "dirty", used, battered.
4. You could add scan lines to the picture, again, don't make it too obvious.
5. The simple animation will spice it it:
I don't know where you want your curses to be, but you could add a blinking rectangle (green color), just like the 80's computers had.
