Supposedly there's two types of Dubstep.
Dubstep, and Brostep, the latter being much of the stuff made popular over the last year.
To be honest, I don't care much for either, but there are some good ones out there (that I heard in a club and thus cannot name:P)

every dub song I've ever heard is mostly indistinguishable from every other club tune I've heard for the past 20 years. The only real difference is that it's the same 'ol-same 'ol latched onto by another generation that doesn't yet realize that it's just a different name for an old dusty package stylistically.

I can't tell one electronic music from the other. When I really like one, I ask someone what category it fits in. The answer was never 'dubstep' so I guess I dislike it.
