Trader ID KOS? - Eppy - 03-31-2008 I have another question along different lines. If I were to take my destroyer through the Omegas and kill the inevitable dozen or so man-purses (which all inevitably have some kind of OORP grudge against you and will hence take any barely-legal measure they can to watch you burn), then take my Train through there, is it considered reengaging if they come after me? (hint: Yes) Trader ID KOS? - Jinx - 03-31-2008 there i have a problem, actually... when i kill a trader, he can come back again and again and again and again... cause resuming the traderoute is not considered re-engaging ( allthough he is dead ... so that rule does not make sense for me ... but still ) so, if you kill people in a cruiser - and come back in a trader.... i don t think it should be "re-engage" cause, apparently, traders cannot re-engage or be re-engaged, cause they never "die" ... or do i fail the logic there? but by the rules, you re right. It does, if he come back again and again and again he is not just an ordinary trader, he is truly mindless and stupid one, so following the rules he is obligated to leave the system for min 4 hours. So resuming the traderoutes means nothing. He must not enter the system and that's it. Twisted logic indeed. I think you have made it more weird then it really is ;] Trader ID KOS? - Jinx - 03-31-2008 actually the official statement is something like : he is allowed to come back as much as he like - but the pirates can blow him up as much as they like again ( of course, each time making the usual tax demand ) - nonsense much of course. Trader ID KOS? - ParanoidAndroid - 03-31-2008 Where is that offcial statement? Seems I missed something... ;\ Trader who come back again and again to the same system, using the same route, when he knows that there is a pirate waiting for him in my modest opinion acts ridiculously, and that is what I call utter nonsense. It have happened to me ONLY once. Trader ID KOS? - Jinx - 03-31-2008 it was something igiss mentioned - but i m really too lazy to dig it out now - maybe someone else can comment on it. - but the usual re-engagement rules do not apply to traders. it seems. i think it should be changed to "do not enter the system when you died untill your opponent leaves the system, but no longer than 4 hours" . Trader ID KOS? - ParanoidAndroid - 03-31-2008 Official written stance for sure would clear things up. Trader ID KOS? - Carlos_Benitez - 03-31-2008 Never going to happen. One of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are going to show up here any minute now and fob you off with.... "The rules are solid. Don't look for loopholes. Our logic is undeniable...our lllogic is un-undeniable....our lo-logic is undeniable....." Trader ID KOS? - Muleo - 04-01-2008 ' Wrote:Never going to happen.
