Kusari State Police - KSP - Fellow Hoodlum - 04-01-2008 Deposit has been received - Hoodlum Kusari State Police - KSP - Zapp - 04-01-2008 What's the ship list? Couldn't find it in my skimming. I like the whole thing of restricting niobium/diamond trade, it's great. However, I get the impression you're allowing GBs? No. Never. NO. If you do, despite everything else that's good, this gets two big thumbs down from me just for that. Kusari State Police - KSP - Dopamino - 04-01-2008 I think it's beautiful. GBs aren't a problem; police forces in major cities usually have a tank/helicopter or two. As long as they keep them very restricted (ex. only for SWAT, Special Ops, etc) I think it's fine. Kusari State Police - KSP - wrathkin - 04-01-2008 Allowed with quite a lot of restrictions, for the simple reason that a Yoriki is not a LPI or BPA carbon copy. He is only one step removed from the Imperial Court, and commands an authority way above what a Bretonian baton-twirling copper or a Liberty rent-a-cop can ever dream of - no matter how high placed in their respective services. Besides, the very creation of this faction would remove one KSP gunboat from Kusari space, as I would cease to use the Tachikaze in favour of a fighter for day-to-day patrols. Also, the maximum number of gunboats would be a grand total of two, to start with, and only increase if the KSP expands beyond ten members. Kusari State Police - KSP - e3jeremey - 04-01-2008 like how this has turned out for the most part now however there are two things that bother me. First off while I dont mind the fact that a higher ranking individual of opposite force would take charge say to a lower ranking member (IE: Capt of KNF takes command when working with lower ranked KSP), however I feel that your ranks are to vague and by saying that the Doshin will only bow down in authority to a Navy Captain seems silly. The reason is because in the navy we have Ensign, Lt, Commander, Captain, and then Admiral. So essentially a brand new Doshin who has no experience and has been in the KNF for say two weeks can over ride th authority of an Lt or Cmdr who has been in the KNF for months if not longer. I would suggest you expand the rank of your Doshin. Here is my suggestion for your ranks: Machi-Bugyoh: Two leaders of the KSP Yoriki: Commands day to day operations Junsa-buchō: Senior Patrol Officer Junsa: Patrol Officer Otherwise I will have to say no on this now. The ship list needs to be reconsidered. Cap ships really need to go. As the others have said allow the KNF to help you when you need the big guns. Might I suggest the following as your ship list? Machi-Bugyoh: GB (Limited to two), Prison Liner Yoriki: Chimera VHF, Kusari Bomber Junsa-buchō: Dragon HF Junsa: Wyrm LF Kusari State Police - KSP - wrathkin - 04-01-2008 Um, I was under the impression that a Commander outranked a Captain, for some reason. A Doshin should be outranked by Commander or Captain. Updating proposal. As for a fresh Doshin outranking a ensign or lt - No, I think that is about right for the samurai police. Kusari State Police - KSP - wrathkin - 04-01-2008 As for bringing in the Navy whenever the fighters are outclassed - that would be like the police bringing in the army instead of SWAT when the bank robbers have AK-47 and a machinegun. For KNF officers, there is also an ongoing discussion on the Delta comms. Kusari State Police - KSP - GhostFace - 04-01-2008 Looks good... Kusari State Police - KSP - wrathkin - 04-01-2008 Ok, so apart from those of you who hate police capships and/or are worried that you'll be bosses around by some wet-behind-the-ears Doshin, the response is good, even great. So... anyone want to BE a samurai copper? Aint' gonna be no KSP without them. Kusari State Police - KSP - wrathkin - 04-01-2008 Edited some more; added the position of Komono, which is a full-time assistant to a Doshin. The idea is that fresh recruits need to spend time as Homono before they are accepted as Doshin. (total butchery of real life, but then, it's not the first.) Also added Niezck to the roster. |
