lawful/unlawful alliance? - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 Something I need to put forward, is the fact that the QCP, and later the QCRF has been largely funded by a woman who is a native of Honshu and was raised on Ainu, who believes in the teachings of Morika, and has spoken to both the queen and the empress about such. She was granted a noble title by the queen (later to be revoked) and is generally a fixture of high society in Bretonia. She has moved her family and her business into Bretonia, and that might explain the GC you tend to see flitting about Bretonia. They do tend to behave. lawful/unlawful alliance? - chopper - 04-06-2008 While I agree with Xoria, I see a big hole right there. If it was QCR, it would make sense, yes. But how do you expect that a regular police officer knows about Brettonia supporting GC? I mean, it might be a common knowledge, I don't know. But I had a feeling it's still kept under the table. If it is, then BPA should see them as criminals as well. Maybe RP their arrest, docking on planet, and then BAF gets involved and settles it. That would make much more sense, with same or better effect. Other then that, agreed with Xoria. And if you see something odd, take it to the PM or forum. Never use OOC for 'settling' something. It just leads to lawyering. lawful/unlawful alliance? - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:But how do you expect that a regular police officer knows about Brettonia supporting GC? Next time take your complaints to group or private chat, or just keep quiet. Like I told you in game, we were in the middle of a fight, didn't have time to go in to group or PM chat, but still needed to know what the hell was going on. Thanks for the reply, but can someone clarify on this then? Then is it OK for the Corsairs to support KNF attacks on Bretonia? lawful/unlawful alliance? - ryoken - 04-06-2008 I want to stay in RP at all time's, but thing's like this just confuse me. As a corsair i am supposed to hate hessien's, and Rheinland military. By what i have read here, i would be well in RP to assist the RM in killing a Hessien, or vice versa. Or even land on a rheinland planet? I do not think so. I have seen BPA so out of RP in the last week it is just insane.(being killed, relaunching with a new ship to re-ingage,having ally's they should be at war with,re-ingaging after being killed and so on). I think this should be investigated by the admins, and left to see what they say about it.:rtfm::nono::rtfm: lawful/unlawful alliance? - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:Then is it OK for the Corsairs to support KNF attacks on Bretonia? To a point. This is much shadier, and shouldn't be done openly. I can imagine KNF tipping off the Corsairs that Cambridge would be undefended due to an attack on Leeds, for example. lawful/unlawful alliance? - Xoria - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:Like I told you in game, we were in the middle of a fight, didn't have time to go in to group or PM chat, but still needed to know what the hell was going on.That is utter nonsense. It takes far more time and is much more hazardous to type out all of that chatter than it does to open the chat log, scroll down to a name, and click on it for a PM. If you could type it all out, you could send it privately. In any case, the answers would do you absolutely no good in the middle of a fight anyway. What was going on was that you were being shot at. OOC chatter was not going to change that in any way. If you didn't like the odds, then you had the option of leaving. Under no circumstances were the complaints justified, or even remotely useful to resolving anything. You could have talked till you were blue in the face and it wouldn't have changed who was shooting at you. If you want a primer on intragalactic politics, the middle of a firefight is a supremely poor time to ask for one. You complained on the server, you complained in the first post of this thread, and you complained yet again about having your method of complaint described as unjustified. Give it a rest. And just for the sake of full disclosure to the rest of you, I was not one of the combatants or involved parties during this in any way. I just happened to be in the system when this took place. lawful/unlawful alliance? - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 I dislike the idea of a police defaulting on things it does not understand as hostile. Even if they'd never seen a GC before, the GC would probably be green to them, because of the way a GC has to get repped (fighting KNF/KSP). Now, that's not OORP, not at all, and they should consider people who are behaving well as freindlies, and not someone to be persecuted, even if they're not sure where those people are from. lawful/unlawful alliance? - chopper - 04-06-2008 Quote:Because they're pretty darn famous? Ehm.. Quote:To a point. This is much shadier, and shouldn't be done openly. If it's shadier, then why is a regular BPA officer informed? You think they would trust him to keep a secret? Right.. CIA shares their secrets with the NYPD all the time. See my point now? As I said, QCR/QCP would be totally ok. BPA isn't. BPA is there to prevent crime, not to help Brettonia in a war or something. Edit : Unselie has a point. But then by the same logic Rogues seen in New London would be neutral, right? If they are, then it's all ok. lawful/unlawful alliance? - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:Ehm.. When one of the GC in question had been given a noble title by the Queen publicly, I think that covers BPA knowing, don't you? Besides, BPA aren't listed as hostile to GC. |
