F1ing rule - Thor22 - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:No thats not fishy. You can't F1 while being chased even if you have used a jump hole. Unless the trader is fishing, then he has reason to be upset and disappear. You should never disturb a fishing trader, it's all the relaxation that he ever gets. :nono: F1ing rule - Othman - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:Unless the trader is fishing, then he has reason to be upset and disappear.Fishing in space? Better read the first post.. F1ing rule - Thor22 - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:Fishing in space? I'll go find the thread where Hood sanctioned someone for it... EDIT: Found it. here F1ing rule - marauder - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:You can actually get sanctioned for wormhole spam. Report the idiot. I'll go find the thread where Hood sanctioned someone for it... If your on about the one I think you are, the guy and his mate got sanctioned becuase one of em was in a trader jumping back and forth, while his buddy in a BHG BC got there. Which is totally different to this case, because there was obviously no back-up coming otherwise the trader wouldn't have F1'd. EDIT: I was right, that was the one you were on about... F1ing rule - Unseelie - 04-07-2008 This specific instance aside, the rule is you cannot F1 from a combat situation, it is rather hazy on when you can F1...I believe there is no rule against F1ing in space, so long as you aren't trying escape a pirate, ergo, F1ing halfway though you're route, for purposes of logging off, or reseting your IFF, are perfectly legal, so long as you aren't being engaged...the question at the root of this thread is: At what point do engagements end? F1ing rule - Othman - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:the question at the root of this thread is: At what point do engagements end?It is but the insight of the first post states that there are people using the jumpholes as loopholes instead for F1 in space. F1ing rule - uspatriotsf - 04-07-2008 If it is me interpreting a rule violation report, which very often it is, unless the trader is docked he should not be F1ing whilst being chased by a pirate. Quite frankly, I would like to see F1ing in space under any circumstance kept to an absolute minimum. Even if you're not in a combat situation, it's very annoying to see a ship just disappear in the middle of space. That in and of itself is very OORP in my opinion. F1ing rule - ryoken - 04-07-2008 If he dock's at a station/planet he can F1 as he is considered safe. No other reason. I think i know who you are speaking of.The OPG have had a certain person do this to us 3 times now.It is very hard to prove with a screen. F1ing rule - timmychen - 04-07-2008 ' Wrote:It also seemed that when he would F1 he would not always relog at the same place he f1'd. I've heard a few things about f1ing right before jumping. The games sometimes DOES crash, so I wouldn't be too quick to dash to the forums to report an F1 incident. If you see he disconnects, wait a couple minutes, if he relogs, ask him what happened. If he doesn't answer, or says "i dunno" etc crap like that, go ahead and report him. But I think it's unfair that someone should be sanctioned because their game crashed - give them a chance to get back in and redeem themselves. If that happened to me, I'd just pay the intended "tax" + extra. |
