can 'real' escape pod be invented ? - MÃmir - 03-30-2012 I understand where you are coming from, but it would promote less capwhoring (and also lead to people only bringing caps when they "ought" to - like full scale battles with proper snub support). People would think twice before jumping in their dreads, and perhaps start realising that they can accomplish most of their tasks in smaller more practical crafts. And again it would lead to more trading, which is really the life-blood of Disco and the rp "food chain" (both in relation to inter-house politics as well as piracy). can 'real' escape pod be invented ? - Trogdor - 03-31-2012 No. It works in EvE because there, everybody's a clone, and even battleships are only crewed by one clone. Your escape pod blows up, you respawn. There are no clones in Freelancer, and capital ships are roleplayed as if hundreds of people are onboard, not just the CO. Plus, powergaming would ensue. "Wahaha I tractorz in your escape podz. Torture heeeeem!" |
