It is clearly not enought. Buff its hull, Nanos/Bats, replace one class 9 gun with class 10(to compensate the big profile), improve the cargo space(Pirate fighters are known for there extended cargo space) and you will get one decent LF.

Buff it's hull ? It can already take a direct Nuke Mine hit without dying and is the only LF being able to do so.

Okay, I think you missed my point, my bad.
The hyena is a GENERIC ship. It means that the balance team cannot physically balance it against every faction line in the game. If you buff it now, it will become unbalanced against another line.
It is the same problem we had back in the day. The Rogue/Molly line needing to be balanced against two different lines: Bretonia and Liberty (+Corsairs, Xenos, ect) one of which are tanks and the other is a -in-betweenght line.
Now with the removal of the tech chart, more people use it with pirate IDs, so this makes the ZOI of the Hyena ship not limited to only Bretonia and Liberty.
See the problem?
Any Civilian/Generic ship is generally weak only because it can be encountered by any shipline in the game. The Generic/Civvy line gives up balance for unlimited ZOI.
EDIT: And the Hyena is OP anyway. Also Sammaels. Just saying..
EDIT2: If you buff it more, it will turn into a HF.
EDIT3: Or lose the 400m/s speed.

there are many LFs that you can use instead of Hiyena. Griffen for example. but yes, LFs now abit big. I dont see why Decurion dont have old Legionire style but new big one...

The ''faction ships'' or more restricted ships are balanced against their main enemy, therefore appear stronger.
^That is not the case for the generic ships, they sacrifice this ''buff'' for open use (or atleast being able to be used by more people.)

And still all the civilian LFs are more useful than the Hyena for piracy.

I`d agree on the point about direct nuke hit...
Each ship should carry something special in it.
In light of Greyhound and Werewolf being buffed almost on one level, I see it reasonable to give Hyena some extra hull points so it will represent "heaviness" of pirate line.

This is exactly like the Executioner, Avenger sized HF np, but I dont see anyone rushing to buff that.
Don't get me wrong though, the Hyena is like a death trap.
