Cockpit view is good for aiming main guns on Cruisers like LSC. Also good for fast docking many big ships with TLs as you do not get the sliding to one side bug. Also mining it is great. Easier to hit the rocks.

view from cabin of pilot is damn bad for eyes. all this bright flashings when you firing... but I learned that this view is useful when you on Liberty Cruiser or with other ''forward gun'' ship

I used to use cockpit view when I was traveling through heavy asteroid fields with my 5k in .84/.85.
I discovered it was actually quicker to self fly in those when in cruise, which was useful when being chased by NPCs.
It's amazing how much faster you pass through asteroid fields when you aren't bouncing off of every second rock in the place.

Cockpit view is the only reliable way of aiming the Liberty Cruiser's forward cannon. Aside from for that purpose, I never use it.

Aside from the points already mentioned, cockpit view is also useful when chasing a target.
Switching to cockpit view limits your FoV, which makes objects look larger on the screen and if you're chasing a target, shooting it in cockpit view would give you a higher chance of landing hits. Especially in ships like gunboats or transports where the ship model itself blocks half your screen in 3rd person view.
