Do you want to know who killed your base? - Sarawr!? - 04-27-2012 ' Wrote:Also if players only got access to ID and IFF information, and a there was a ruling saying admin-investigations can only be undertaken in the case of mismatches between ID of the base killer and the base itself? If that was the case, we'd have every Zoner, indie Corporate player, Junker or otherwise, trying to sanction the [LN] everytime we blow up a base that isn't authorized. The above stated also applies to numerous other factions, I'm sure. Do you want to know who killed your base? - MÃmir - 04-27-2012 No, I meant players can only create a fuss if there's a blatant mismatch: If [LN] or even an indie LN kills an unauthorized but otherwise lawful base in Liberty, it's all good seeing that it is under Liberty jurisdiction, whereas a BHG character killing the same lawful but otherwise unauthorized base in Liberty space would be not ok. I know the limits as to who can do what (and what can be sanctioned) would have to be established on both an OORP and RP level, but I think it could be done with a few lines of text in the Laws of Sirius and in the server rules - with bases being such a change to the Disco dynamics, I don't think a few lines of texts in the relevant documents dedicated to base killing would be overkill. And if done correctly I don't think it would create massive complications to administrate for players and admins alike, but I might be wrong. Do you want to know who killed your base? - AeternusDoleo - 04-27-2012 A properly supplied base requires quite a bit of doing to take down. It's only when you let it go through it's basic supplies or repair commodities that you end up in trouble. People notice on the base list when a base is at 99% or less - when you see that and it continues to drop, that's just asking for bomberspam. But that is base administrator error rather then a problem with the bases... Do you want to know who killed your base? - batko - 04-27-2012 Is that it ? But like Dingo said, the ID and IFF of the individual would suffice. On a modder side of things though; I've a feeling alot of work would be involved. If they have a means to find out who destroyed their base, they will most likely go to (oorp) lenghts to get even. Which will cause all kinds of unpleasantness. >Click Me< Luckily we GJ dont have any base. Else we would learn the hard way or so it seems:D Do you want to know who killed your base? - Hielor - 04-27-2012 ' Wrote:No.Given how much OORP goes into the building and destruction of bases in the first place, I don't see a problem with this.
