Admin Notice: Rule Update - Hierophant - 05-15-2012 Quote:Oh dear lord. Yes Hegemon counts a transport, Anki counts as a freighter. What? I think it's a legit question, considering there was a difference for miners and trader in the old 4 hours rule. Whatever. Admin Notice: Rule Update - Cond0r - 05-15-2012 what if -I- count anki as a fighter and not a freighter:cool: Admin Notice: Rule Update - Ursus - 05-15-2012 ' Wrote:what if -I- count anki as a fighter and not a freighter:cool:sucks to be you? ;) Admin Notice: Rule Update - Reverend Del - 05-15-2012 Okay let me lay it out, for you. This rule is intended to give traders a win scenario in a pirate encounter. By extension it also gives pirates and miners a win scenario in situations where they may be using transports to enact their operations. It is not intended to allow combat freighters to re-engage endlessly. IF anyone attempts that they will face our discretionary ability to revoke the exemption. Not complaining. Interested to see what will happen now. Admin Notice: Rule Update - Xoria - 05-15-2012 Del, then make it an exemption for a transport/freighter being used with a trader/corporate id. Plenty of pirates use freighters and transports (including pirate transports) for piracy, not trading, and you are placing quite a burden on someone to prove what kind of activity the ship was engaged in before docking, rather than simply proving WHO the ship belongs to, and thus by extension what their activity was. A blanket exemption for a type of ship regardless of its pilot makes the enforcement of the rule more complex, not less. Admin Notice: Rule Update - Hierophant - 05-15-2012 Geckon Wrote:Dude. Rules Wrote:a) All light fighters, heavy fighters, very heavy fighters, super heavy fighters, and bombers are considered fighters; Oh dear lord. Might want to add miner ships in here if you are going to count them as transports too. Just for the people who can read, you know. Admin Notice: Rule Update - Ursus - 05-15-2012 There are no "mining ships" only "mining turrets" Admin Notice: Rule Update - Hierophant - 05-15-2012 Yeah right, sure. They're just called mining ships and are used and made for mining. But they aren't really mining ships. What was I thinking. Whatever... carry on. You're doing great. |
