There shined a shiny demon - Mickk - 07-05-2012 Once upon a time it was (cheap) scotch and coke, bundaberg rum and coke (turns out 'sweet') or just about any of the relatively cheap 'brown' spirits with coke. These days I don't drink often enough for it to really matter, a 750ml bottle of <insert spirit> will last for years. Currently I have a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka sitting in my cupboard and I can't think of when I actually bought it. I ended up somehow (okay, it was on sale and cheaper) with a bottle of Evan Walker. Jack is 70 proof - Evan is 86 proof. I don't think I could drink Wild Turkey (seriously, 101 proof?). You're going to do that, you may as well drink Everclear. What's funny is that if I run out of cleaning solution for the optics system on my laser, the manufacturer actually states in their manual that as a short term solution that I can use Everclear until I get more of the real stuff in. I can see turning THAT bill in to the accountant - yep, that bottle of Everclear is a legitimate business expense... There shined a shiny demon - Stoat - 07-05-2012 I'm with Carl on this one. Long Island Iced Tea is great. Also ![]() and
