Sigma 13 is the GMG's sovereign space. Neither Kusari nor Rheinland holds sway there, so anything you do there that isn't against a house faction aligned trader should be fine. And LPI tag means nothing, they all have it.

' Wrote:A Junker in a Pirate Transport is the only possibility of selling the pirated goods on a lawful base, AND that base cannot be in the same House region where the act of piracy took place.
So if you pirate Diamonds in Cambridge from someone, you can't sell them at Leeds. Basically, if you are actively pirating somewhere then your rep with the lawful factions in that region must be hostile.
And don't try to argue with me about this or look for clever loopholes. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

Xoria, not trying to argue or look for clever loopholes as you say, but, as the Hogosha hold a similar (if not more favored) place in Kusari as the Junkers hold in the other houses, couldn't that mean that a Hogosha that pirated a ship in the Kusari Border systems, might be able to sell them on a Kusari planet of Samura base? Why would the situation be different. Back when the QCP were active (or if the proposed privateer ID should be implemented), wouldn't they have been allowed to sell goods taken in Kusari on lawful bases in Britonia or the Border systems? I'm not looking for loopholes, I am asking why it's ok in this situation and not these other, similar situations?

hogosha are actually part of the kusari government structure, just not openly.

Think of the hogosha like a crime syndicate that pulls the strings of the puppet emperor, they basically get their way and arent arrested for anything they do (usually).

Hogosha and the QCP would be allowed to do this I would think.

So the three groups that could do it:
-Junkers
-Hogosha
-QCP

Edit: Apologies Xoria if I misunderstood you...

I think he was talking about corsairs, rogues and pirate ID etc docking on lawful bases to sell the goods. May have left out the Hogosha/QCP..

Actually, the Golden Chrysanthemums and Red Hessians can also dock at lawful bases, but only at Interspace Commerce bases. It's in all station rumours and facts and GC backgrounds etc. The IC bosses at Roppongi Station in orbit of New Tokyo saying "We find the GC more amusing than a threat" and "They always leave our ships and bases alone, so we allow them to land here to sell goods and buy supplies". Also other comments "We don't ask where the goods that the GC sell here come from, and they don't say. We at Interspace Commerce sympathise with their cause and the changes they want in Kusari can only benefit foreign business prospects in this isolationist culture".

Yet another information snippet states "Interspace Commerce is still angry at being forced to wipe out the debts of Kusari and Rheinland for our financing all the jumpgate and trade lane projects. The concessionary tolls are laughable in comparison, which is why we often allow the Golden Chrysanthemums to dock here at Roppongi, and also their Red Hessian counterparts in Rheinland at Bonn Station. Both groups fight for a change in their government's policies and it is in our best business interests to help them. Covertly, of course. We'll always deny any knowledge of them landing here, and neither nation is allowed to inspect Interspace bases as one of the clauses in the agreements made centuries ago".

I don't know if anyone else has seen these, but i'll try and look for them again and get a screenshot. If anyone else has a screenshot of them, feel free to place them up here.

The in-game problem with this is that if you are red to Kusari police (as you should be), Roppongi station turns red because of the planet turning red to you...

doesn't it?

I know for sure it works the other way around.

Time for me to have my say here ^^

1. There is nothing wrong with pirating in a transport, it ain't the most effective way of doing it, but hey, it's fun.

2. As for selling the goods, in Ivan's case he'll usually only pirate things he can sell himself, or he taxes. Goods we pirate are... Gold, engine components, polymers which can be sold at tripoli, or RP stuff like food pharma etc.

3. If they're goods that are valuable (VIP) but we can't sell ourselves, since OPG can't dock on Kurile, we send in an OTC, our smuggling branch, who are quasi-legal kinda like our personal junkers. They drop by, get the goods, take em to their destination.

4. A flipside to this is, a gunboat pirates a trader, demands he drops half cargo, then an OTC vessel drops by and tractors the good. Combining gunboat firepower and transport cargo space:)

Hope that answers your question.

It does, yes. The trick is to keep Interspace in the green while the rest in the red. That way, no matter what you do, Roppongi always stays green (unless you fire a train disrupter at/near it XD). Perhaps it would be nice to see IC's rep stuff tweaked in the next mod?

Same with Orbital Spa and Cruise please? They don't mind criminals (best money fuel, actually) yet you can never get close enough to the planets...

And pirating in Starfliers, then getting your transports to grab the goods is the best pirating ever.

I forgot when's the last time I pirated in a fighter or a bomber.. That usually happens only when I'm on my way somewhere and trader just falls in my arms. Awesome, next nuclears are free! But even then I regret that Mentira isn't there.
As asno said, VIP, Gold, Niobium things like that. Engine components, diamonds sometimes (when they pass trough omegas). Usually I wait until my hold is full and sell away. I usually take the third of the hold, even though that sometimes might suck, for example if the entire run gives out 3mil, I ask for like 800k profit, and worst thing happens when there's no-one to peddle the goods so I sell them even cheaper. But it's a Pirate's life.

We tried to bring a special case when pirating the VIPs as we roleplay of taking the VIP person, not her escorts, or vice versa, depends on what the trader says VIPs are. (scientists, movie stars, important businessmen), and then we were looking at docking with a pirate ID on Kurile to ransom them back to their families/companies/wifes and things like that.
But eventually we decided to bring in our old friends OTC and give them cutt of the profit.
