I dont normally use smileys, but this warrents it.

Tau 31 is WELL inside what GRP considers their space. GRP even swans around in DUBLIN for goodness sake!
GRP, GRN or Gallia?

Since that makes huge difference.

He said police. He must be talking about GRP.

They can engage unlawfuls there, that's enough cover for any other enforcement IMO

I do wish the IDs were written more clearly. They should define a ZOI as a separate explicit thing and then link authority to that versus house space versus global space or whatever.

Hunting Unlawfuls and Enforcing Law definitely two different things there. That is more of securing a local area where as there is there present at one location a Gallic battleship and an IMG station. From what I noticed the player base was also IMG affiliated. The only excuse was that "Its is an Illegal Base not Registered nor have paid fine to Gallia"

I agree they can hunt unlawfuls in Tau 31 but the GRP have no RP reason to make a base located in Tau-31 illegal. Thats just my opinion though. I just don't think there authority of base building extends into Tau-31. The reason for this is because the system is contested so there laws dont govern it because if they did there wouldnt be a Bretonian planet in the system.

You said GRP in Dublin. I find it hard to believe.

Unless you mix GRN and GRP.

Nope. Saw a GRP cruiser there today.

That's rather cruel way to different players based on their choice of play.

Either way, since Military/Navy took the role of police, trade corps and secret agencies, what do you expect?

In my opinion, IDs needs to be redone to give distinct ROLES in roleplay server.

The thing with the Independent systems is that they have been made less independent through the Houses' RP. Magellan and Cortez are split between Bretonia and Liberty; the Taus are claimed by Gallia, with some of 23 and 29 being patrolled by KNF too; Omega-3 is considered Bretonian, with Omega-7 taken by Rheinland; Bering and Hudson are warzones, contested by Liberty; and Sigma-13 is controlled by GMG, with the south allowing some Rheinland operations. It seems to me that Galileo and Kepler are the only true Independent systems (between the Houses) left.
Police factions uphold the laws in their sovereign space, which can include the above systems for their respective houses.

As a BPA Officer, I would include Omega-3 on my patrols, but have yet to do so with Magellan or Cortez. If I were to find myself there, I would still uphold the laws there, especially on the Bretonian side.

For this specific situation, GRP are within their ID rules to patrol Tau-31 and uphold the law there. Raiding Leeds might be less fitting to their RP, but if GRN need some backup to make the battle more interesting for both sides I'm still fine to see them there.
