Yes OP idea works. At least in .85
I would have the ship parked at the wreck, loot it, then /renameme then /movechar to another account. Log back on the next server restart, and reloot the same wreck.

AFAIK /renameme wont works outside base, tested on update 5, dunno with update 6

This is a very old thread so i'm not sure if I will get a reply,but are the server restarts daily or what?
As me and a few others have put in 10-14 hour stints and never once seen a restart

Yes, they happen daily. However the execution time differs sometimes, but are mostly the same.
