Reason: Having just played New Vegas my appetite for roman-inspired stuff is fulfilled, so these are all sort of well-known newer weapons (except for the ancient greek Makhaira, I just like the name). Also a lot of repeat names I can see.

Can't think of a cooler name for the heavy fighter, but I must agree, "Rapier" just sounds damn cool for an Outcast VHF.

but lets not forget -> theres already a rapier in the game, and its corsair.

stop trying to troll eachother like little kids. Yes there are several cases were two things have the same name... It is completely irrelevant to this matter. The ship's name will be chosen from the best set of suggestion. However looking at the suggested names, we may end up with a mix of several suggestions.
Time will show. The Council of Dons will be the ultimate judges, not just me alone.
