Many of us play this game like a shooter. Of course we like its universe, we recognize factions relations, personalities etc.
But on the top of it, we fly ships and kill other ships. And how the hell is it different to PvP server with kills tracker?
It might be interesting, sometimes even usefull, maybe (like with house militaries).

Everyone who thinks of PvP implementations are effing lolwuts and have no reason to be on our server and should go back to CoD and BF and leave the server to us RPers instead.

Sadly i would spoil your fun telling you that Discovery is PvP server with RP elements,dropping bunch of setmsgs is not RP and you are not RPers as well.
RPers write "books" and have hard time around the place, most of them end snaced while trying to type something longer then the typical 1-5 lines in setmsgs or dodging typing and then guns.
Also such function would be useless for numerous reasons.
First there is none to code it, second there is conn problem meaning second hook, third the trolls around the place would farm on their sandboxed FL in order to get in top 10 and for sure more idiocy that I cannot predict.

Everyone can write books on the RP subforum.
It's not normal to have half an hour conversation with hostiles when your iRP goal is to destroy them, you know.
Imagine i'm flying my BHG Hammerhead
When i drop a couple of words (agressive or even swearing ones) in chat and then start shooting, i play the character - fighter pilot.
Of course i might pay attention if someone is trying to bribe me - but again, that's only a couple of lines.
And now tell me what is wrong here?
Do you expect every single player to play.. ambassador or something?

Um...why can't you find out who are on the upper rungs of the PVP ladder through roleplay?
If you poke around, you might find a few names that are quite notorious amongst some of the factions. Not that it's a surefire way to find out though...
Generally, if you're a good PVPer, you'll somehow become prolific or somewhat notorious in some way or another inRP.

For the most part it will give the players who pvp a lot a better rank, not necessarily the ones who are good.
It's not like I am against it, but it's foolish to hope it's going to be in the game ( I think ).
