Broken English, Eppy, not broken French:P

(Yes, I know, the first part wasn't French)

Hola- Hello
Adios- Goodbye
Bueno- Good
Hermano- Brother
Hermana- Sister
Amigo- Friend
Si- Yes
Senor- Sir
Viva los- long live
Buenos Dias- Good day
Buenos Noches- Good night

It's the Corsair language. I challenge any player with half a brain not to be familiar with 80% of those words.
Use enhances RP significantly.

  • Anglo-Spanish hybrid is encouraged in both forum posts and in-game; using phrases such as "Hola" "Adios" "si" "bueno" "senor" "Buenos dias/noches" "hermano" "hermana" "familia" "Viva los Corsairs" "Vamos", but it is preferred that use of Spanish is restricted to phrases non-Spanish speakers will recognise.

Hey, don't blame me, look at the cheap-ass translator program I used instead...it's all that thing's fault. I can't speak Italian OR French:lol:

Seems to me what we need is a "dictionary" of sorts for each of the house languages and the common words or expressions that could be used as discussed so far.
I nominate Baconsoda for the task.

Nomination seconded, with Praetyre suggested for Rheinland stuff.

My HG is an Outcast that's been cleaned from Cardamine, and he drops entire sentences in Spanish. The entire point, though, is I have translations in parenthesis afterwards.

Exampe: Hola, como estas? (Hello, how are you?)

I don't care, I think it enhances RP, let's people know my Dragon isn't exactly a Dragon.

Wait, what? Really? I'll do it if you're serious, but, me?

German words aren't too hard to be understood when thrown in. I sometimes use them while I'm in my Unioner character and screaming at the Rhinelanders in system.

I'm so thankful for my few years of German study...:D
