I'm playing Anno 2070 at the minute and enjoying that a lot, also CIV 5 is fun. The Guilld is also a very fun game that is relatively easy to play.

Civiliazation 5, its turn-based so need for speed or keyboard. Eats a lot of resources and they system coolers go howling up as long as its runing, dunno if its good on a laptop.

Command and Conquer Generals or the Zero Hour one, both fun.
