Aha that's what I thought just recently. Knowing in how I feel about furries. Edit; I guess I could go and re-edit it

Pancakes... L S F :p not LN.

I was told when we started this project make it small, sexy, and impressive. So don't be too surprise if you get aroused by it!

Batman yes. It's supposed to give the feel that it's high tech and quality. A Lamborghini over a Porsche.

Is it a good thing everyone wants sex with it?

Indeed looks like next generation.

RE: LSF A-1 MK3 Concept - RmJ - 02-05-2013

Thanks Swallow. It pleases me to see that any description mentioned was exactly my aim. I remember when I first started to make models with intention of submitting them to Disco. "They need to be more boxy" as a well respected member once told me. I was also told that fighters are the hardest to submit because original design is not always accepted. This designed genesis from the following.

2008: Proto Design
2009: Alpha
2010: Pre-production Model
2011-2012: Full Production Type 2

The traits over the revisions became more predominate with each line. I wanted to incorporate a lot of surface space, to amount to justify respectable armor, but in angles that hide it's bulkiness. If the wings were straight, at the same girth, it would be four times the length of the entire craft. The main body is compacted in the same manner. Sporting four intake units yet having a profile not too much larger than the current Liberty fighters. The entire project was to have more while looking less. Even the talons in the rear bottom are place in a way that it is stream lined with the rest of the form. I haven't paid much attention to them since I put them on but they're meaningful to the entire design.

I see no reason to reject fresh design anyway.
Freelancer's evgine makes any model look nearly native.
Oh, and if you will be going to submit it, bump Aet to check his mail for my X-Shuttle.

RE: LSF A-1 MK3 Concept - Omicron - 02-05-2013

I cant tell a difference between the two models?

RE: LSF A-1 MK3 Concept - Mercarryn - 02-05-2013

Look at the horns a bit behind the cockpit, and you will notice the difference, omicron.

first :

this is a very fine model that - despite being very different from vanilla liberty - ... actually does look like it belongs into that shipline.

it has some anime manierisms - which are reduced in the revision ( the pointy ears ) - but its no problem.

second :

there is one design element that leaves vanilla behind in a rather significant way. - vanilla fighters quite often have HUGE ( compared to the pilot ) canopies. - actually, the pilots are usually sitting in glass domes - the eagle being one of the ships that only encases the pilot in around 60% glass.

your design offers just a narrow slit - which looks good and agressive but breaks with vanilla in that respect ( however - its no problem )

third :

i do wish - that one day - if the die hards can let go - we can start actually replacing vanilla ships for new models - displaying a progression of design - this would fit in neatly then.

lastly :

i m not too sure about the chances of a totally new addition to a faction. - the ship resembles an updated Upholder ... along with a new design it might replace the old one that Xing once made, which has not only some balance problems - but also a faulty skin ( no canopy ) - chances for that are a lot greater than to add it as a fully new addition.

Looks like a Phantom Gunboat

Exactly why it's called an LSF Concept.
