Check the game mechanics and the types of JDs before posting non-sense.
He is obviously using MK3 JD not MK4. MK4 charges 200 sec also it needs more fuel and takes more space, so lone carrier cannot operate it without fueler transport.

Thank you again for a display of what is becoming a norm with the tone of your posts on this forum.

How does the type of jump drive used negate what I said?

Only a Mk 4 Drive jumps other ships with it. A smaller drive only transports the one ship with the drive aboard.

Edit: Elaboration;

Liberty Carrier cargo - 2000
JD Series 3 - 900
Fuel required for 1 jump with a JD3 - 16 * 30 = 480 (using the least efficient fuel)

That leaves 620 cargo for everything else - plenty for all the guns you'll need, but you will be sacrificing the possibility of the bigger Cap armours.

Thank you, straight forward polite answer with no point scoring, how forums should be.

Well i would say its just an escape. As you Jump/flee to another system and then if you dock you are out of range. (scannerrange) of the attacker/defender. So no pvp death.

For info:
jumpdrive mk2 = 60 seconds chargetime
jumpdrive mk3 = 30 seconds chargetime

RE: Jumping in Combat... - Govedo13 - 02-09-2013

Tunicle how you can comment something that you does not understand?
Such +1 posts are pretty useless in rules section, also especially if you haven't read what I posted just above your non-sense post.
As result you got such attitude in response.

God damn it, Govedo. Are you actually capable of making posts that are not insulting?

RE: Jumping in Combat... - Vigilia.Procuratio - 02-09-2013

The ship in question has Mk2 Jump Drive and Mk7 armour, if I recall correctly. And believe me, this carrier has taken a pounding MANY times and jumps EVERY time, only to return five minutes later to continue "cleansing" Rhinos and Starfliers. When there are only seventy-odd people on-line in the early hours of the morning (GMT) it can be extremely difficult to muster the necessary support to deal with a craft of over 4 million hit-points. Honestly, half of the time there was a LABC and maybe four bombers hitting him, at one point there was probably 10% of the players on-line attacking him. If this were to happen on a Sunday evening then it would be a different story, he'd get silly slapped by twenty LNS. And by the way, we're talking about somebody who sits over Old Miss without her shooting the renegade captain, whom immediately attacked an Ageira gunboat as it disembarked from Houston. He sits outside police and navy bases and attacks "friendly" craft without them having any kind of chance to garner any sense of what is going on. By the time they do realise, they're dead because they simply didn't see it coming. This guy needs to be made hostile to ALL factions and maybe then I'd be happier to engage with him. Not when he's sitting on top of Old Miss, though, without her giving a hoot.

Yeah, I personally see it simple as an escape, and it should be listed as as a simular transport dock exception.

It is the same with cloaking devices.

I just wish there where cloaking disruptors too Tongue

Well... report him.
