Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - Baltar - 06-18-2008 One thing that you might wanna watch for that I've seen many traders do ... they hit cruise and then F1. When they hit F1 you cannot disrupt their cruise or their drift rate. They just keep floating off into the sunset. So F1 while sitting still or at normal engine speed makes them vulnerable, they have learned this little trick of hitting F1 AFTER they enter cruise or at least a fast drift rate. I've learned that the best way to counter this is when you see this happen ... cut your engines and stay stationary. Wait a little while and when they log back in ... you've got em where they started the cruise/F1. Then you get to watch them do it all over again. Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - Walker - 06-18-2008 if God Intervenes then I think your ship would dissapear in less then 60 seconds... But woohoo! This is a long awaited fix! Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - RickJames - 06-18-2008 *THUMBS UP FOR 60 Seconds* but...if Dboy says 59 seconds then... *THUMBS UP FOR 59 Seconds* :) Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - timmychen - 06-18-2008 Oh, yeah, 59 seconds, please. And the reason why it needs to be this long is because you don't know when the trader actually F1s.. obviously when they stop talking, but you don't know when that timer actually starts ticking. Therefore, if they're stationary, give them 10 seconds to say -anything-, and if not done, blow them away. Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - Unseelie - 06-18-2008 HUH! I didn't even know the 60 seconds thing was turned off.... looool... left a system three times yesterday, just trying to avoid the angry npcs. Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - Scaramanga - 06-18-2008 Good. Same thing in EVE and its great! (Horrible when you disconnect but its a cost that is worth paying.) Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - stone - 06-18-2008 TIME FOR A PARTY!!! WOOHOO NICE JOB GUYS :yahoo: Admin Notice: F1 Timer set back to 60 - Korrd - 06-18-2008 It's 59. I said 60 to round it up;) - 59 seconds in space are enough for NPC to shred your ship to pieces (even weak ones, if in numbers). - 59 seconds in space are enough for pirates to kill your trader, loot you stuff, and beat your char at the local bar once your ship respawns and before it disconnects. - 59 seconds are enough for your BS to be blown to bits by that pesky bomber group that you tried to F1 away from. - 59 seconds won't save you from being sanctioned by an admin if you are caught doing it. And you'll get more than 59 seconds on Bastille if you F1 out. - Before the 59 seconds are over, Chuck Norris will come to your house and roundkick your PC for trying to F1 away. :)
