RE: New way out of Piracy by beeing kicked for swearing - Veygaar - 03-04-2013 This can be done by Alt+F4'ing aswell. No F1 message or anything. Just a vanishing ship. Sometimes it happens before you can get before/after proof that he did indeed disconnect. Alt-F4 doesn't give the message and instantly takes your account out of the server? I seem to remember Alt-F4ing in a fight before, and still being killed due to remaining in space afterward... This was back in my lolwut days, that's right, 2 weeks ago. RE: New way out of Piracy by beeing kicked for swearing - Drakaisyl - 03-07-2013 As long there is no report you won'T get sanctioned for it and well, shounting out lound where admins read isn't wise in my eyes RE: New way out of Piracy by beeing kicked for swearing - Zynth - 03-07-2013 Players can file reports. Oh and Admins can be invisibru due to cloak hax. Simply put, if it's against the rules, don't do it. Just don't. RE: New way out of Piracy by beeing kicked for swearing - Ever Light - 03-07-2013 I have just steped over this thread ... Quote:Simply put, if it's against the rules, don't do it. Just don't. Thats exactly what I have to say to this. But I want to specify: I am piloting a transport mainly and after I have got the Stork with a little help by a friend, I made a lot of money in a very short time. Of cause I hate pirates demanding 10 or 15 million, like it happended a few times now, while I am enjoying a good RPed pirate encounter so much, that a demand of some hundred thousand value (or even some million) isn't noticed as a loss on my side. But I have made hundreds of million by now, so that I would pay (or refuse to pay knowing I will be shot), or better: try to run! ... But never logg off while interacting with that pirate. In Freelancer's world piracy is a dayly matter. Personally I don't like it. But my transport pilot does not know his world any better. He might wish there no pirates. But he simply does not know a world with (nearly) is possible. So he won't question it. No, that post ist not to say how good I am. As for you can't easily proof wheter I am lying or not. It is to show you my opinion on this matter. Freelancer is just a game. Beeing killed is not a pleasant thing. For a transport / trader for sure! Its the game equal to the hardness of life. But contrary to real life, it remains beeing just a game. Stay in your characters role. (If it does not please you (anymore), change your role / your character. If that does not work: leave for a while. Just take a break. There is no shame on it). And allways honor the rules. As it was proofes thwo (?) days ago: rules a changebale. If a rule annoys you, make a request for change. If the community thinks similar, the rule will be changed. No need to break the existing rule meanwile. Just have a bit patience. To repeat: Quote:Simply put, if it's against the rules, don't do it. Just don't. (Sorry for that speech like thing. But after reading this thread, it was on my heart to have this said!) |
