I say that begging is a valid form of gaining credits, just as pirating is a valid form of gaining money. I believe however that while there shouldn't be admin reprecussions for this, begging should count as attacking, and the victim may choose whether or not to shoot the beggar. Mate , he was referring at this scenario : - restart Miner(miner is the best for that trick) - sell the ship for a cheap one - send cash to x - restart Miner again - repeat all RE: Make a new rule!! - lIceColon - 05-11-2013 (05-11-2013, 04:58 PM)cata77 Wrote: - restart Miner(miner is the best for that trick) - sell the ship for a cheap one - send cash to x - restart Miner again - repeat all but- but that's barely profitable. And you have to wait an hour before you givecash, which makes it really unprofitable. RE: Make a new rule!! - Don_Paco_Corleone - 05-11-2013 No not that Cata, i mean a restart Order of Nomad and fly to a shipwreck and take a codename, of restart miner and mine gold ore of other stuf! But not sell your ship send the cash and you do repeat that!! It must remain fairly, and indeed its unprofitable!! It happens to me all the time when I'm in space with my transport ... but it doesn't bother me, if anyone is to insistent ... then /ignore is your friend. With Nomad ID you can't loot stuff and that is intended to prevent easy gathering of Codenames. RE: Make a new rule!! - farmerman - 05-11-2013 You could always keep your money on a lesser logged ship to keep your level down. Alternately, my solution is to tell people to join Samura and then bug Markus_Janus.
RE: Make a new rule!! - Luke. - 05-11-2013 Never see this happen but then again I spend most of my time in pirate factions. If someone had a very convincing RP for being a beggar then JUST MAYBE it'd be okay but to be perfectly honest, i'm sure it'd be hard to do that. RE: Make a new rule!! - Visivicous - 05-11-2013 Begging in local chat is just fine, so long as it stays inRP. System chat.... I think that is pushing it. Using the chat window to sort by level, and then PMing someone (who is probably in another system) is ooRP and not ok. Just my $0.02 :-) When I rejoined Disco a couple months ago, I had forgotten about mining helium in Penn, and then selling it there to gain some quick starter cash. I did a restart (I remembered that) and ended up doing this god-awful trade route between Cambridge and New York (using the CSV) until I had enough to buy a Camara, then a Mammoth, and finally a Firefly. Funny thing is, I did get a boost just before I bought the Camara (enough so that I considered holding off until I could afford the Mammoth). I had just entered the Cambridge system (in my all powerful CSV) and encountered a few corsair players. Instead of pirating me, they gave me 500K to pickup some luxury food for them and bring it back. On the return, I was given an additional 2 Mil. I wish I had encountered those guys on my first trip through! |
