RE: To: Republic of Liberty Subject: Pending Lawsuit WITHDRAWN - Slappy - 05-31-2013 :: INCOMING TRANSMISSION :::
From: Bobby Lee Cook, Esq.
Location: Alston + Spalding, LLP | Planet Manhatten To: The Honorable Reynold Stark | Justices of the Surpreme Court of the Republic Subject: Concerns Encrypted: Low Priority: High To the Honorable Reynold Stark and the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the Republic, As most of our attention to this communications channel has been based on increasing our presence in the legal market and properly representing those whose rights must be vindicated, I must protest this action. Never before has the Court unilaterally fined and disbarred an attorney without notice and hearing, let alone for a substantial amount based neither on damages nor a scintilla of proof of conduct. As the Court is well aware, the cogs of justice turn on having each party PROVE his or her claim. Admittedly, disciplinary proceedings are less formal than a pure trial, but the defendant, as determined by the precedents of this Court itself, is entitled to the same presumption of innocence and given an opportunity to be heard on the change against him.[/php] These actions, if allowed to stand, do a grave injustice to the Court's standing and chill the legal profession in a way that cannot be underestimated. I implore you to reconsider your actions, for they reflect poorly on all who consider themselves representatives of the law in our fair Republic. I will more than happily represent Mr. Platte's interest, and I request appointment by the Court to do so. Truly yours, Bobby Lee Cook, Esq.
