RE: A Memory Faded - Spectre - 07-01-2017

The door slid open, allowing Murray to walk through with her hands clasped behind her back. Her eyes were pointed right at him, the sockets bagged up with so much insomnia it was a miracle she was standing up at all.
"Admiral.." She stood by the entrance, unmoving, whether out of discipline or fear.
"I know I've barely involved myself here, but considering my best man is the lead investigator, I'm of a mind that my word here is of value."
She pulled her hands from behind her back, stuffing them into the pockets of her fatigues.
"With respect, sir.. Are you out of your god damned mind?"

"What do you mean?" Sader grabbed a cigarette and lighted it then turned back to the window.

"Door. Close it."

RE: A Memory Faded - Spectre - 07-01-2017

She turned back and closed the door, facing him again.
"Nova is trying to do this investigation, and so far she's turned up some interesting stuff. But obviously Hemlock is being a doorjam for you, and you have the mind to just keep getting involved. I'm not sure what your problem is, sir, but if I were constantly getting in the way of the lead investigator by tripping on the toes of the former CO of the ship, I'd have a mind to just stand up, grab my nuts and walk out and resume my usual duties, instead of letting one guy's constant babbling get to my pride."
She took a deep breath, gulping a bit as she realized the words she'd just spoke to her senior CO. She relaxed the fists she'd made during the rant, eyeing him.
"If you want this investigation done, then take a hint and stay out of it. I've learned from years of experience that if I'm not needed, then I should stay the hell away. If I am needed, and the situation is 'less-than-favorable', then I just take steps, instead of shooting the guy straight up."

He exhaled some smoke then turned arround facing Murray.
"Let me exlpain something for you. Since we picked up the distress signal of this ship and found it drifting above the badlands the CO of the ship refused to submit to direct orders. We were there trying to convince him that we came to help for hours. After nearly 6 hours of convincing he finally agreed to come to Juneau and he did not agree to leave the ship once moored with the station and said that only 10 people from the shipyard may be on board at once. And imagine how concerned this is if you count in that this ship just returned from the omicrons from a qoute unqoute humanitarian mission wich has no actual record whatsoever. The fact that this ship is an Archer class cruiser sent on a mission into the omicrons right before its transfer to battlegroup harmony was complete is concerning. Not only the fact that there is no record of their orders but why would they send a siege cruiser with humanitarian goods when a convoy of C5 bisons and some escorts would do just fine. Then there is this artifact fiasco wich wasn't found in a safe cargo hold or any secure place but in the personal office of the CO along with other things belonging to the order."

Sader took a deep smoke frmo the cigarette then exhaled it upwards.

"But this is still the tip of the iceberg. I remained calm and i was trying to be as friendly as possible even during the interrorgation of the crew wich was cut short thanks to the damned artifact going crazy on Reyes. Still Hemlock recieved a friendly welcome from me in the conference room of the ship and what i got in return was complete disrespect and mocking attitude. And remaining calm and friendly is not that easy after listening to his nonsense for the last 8 hours. Still i managed to do so."

Sader walked to the keyboard and pressed some buttons.

"This is the audio recording taken during Hemlock's questioning." He pressed the play button and the speakers quickly started to play the recording.
"I remained calm during the entire time. Hemlock was the one who lost his temper even thou i gave him clear explanations why he cannot remain aboard the ship for now. So before you start questioning my methods you should get information."

"To put it frankly, sir, it seemed like you were hitting nearly every trigger point her had. I know the man, mainly out of circumstance, and not only is he passionate about that damn ship, but he'll die for it. The way he made it sound in that recording, and from what he told me, made it sound like whoever this 'Reaper' guy is made his life a total living hell. In his place, I don't blame him for being a little more than upset with Naval leadership."
She continued her gaze, a little less than pleased herself, but she'd just gotten finished talking with Hemlock, so she was a little mad at everything right now.

"Maybe we did things different in the LSF than you do things here, but for starters we don't shoot the people we're investigating. In fact, we're supposed to take our bloody sidearms and place them aside to prevent this kind of crap. Seems standard operating procedure is null and void for you, huh?"

"I might remind you that O'Neill wouldn't have used stun setting. He would have executed him for treason right away. If there is nothing else you wish to add you're dismissed."

RE: A Memory Faded - Spectre - 07-01-2017

"I'll just leave you with this, sir. I'm giving Nova the authorization codes to Hemlock's computer which he so thankfully provided me. Once she has access, she'll transfer the data to me and then I'll send it to you once it's been verified."
She turned slightly on her heel, stopping and looking back to him.
"And next time, sir.. If I see a gun in my investigation site again, it won't be my fault what happens next. Leave them out of the AO."
She turned and walked out, closing the door behind her.

As Nova finished reviewing Hemlocks service records, she sent an operative to check on him. She was busy dealing with working her way towards getting the ship into a better shape than it is. "This is a giant mess.."

RE: A Memory Faded - Spectre - 07-02-2017

Murray entered the bridge on the Bay, her fists slightly clenched as she approached Nova. She set the keycard down on the surface next to her, eyeing her.
"Here.. A gift from the Captain. Use it on his terminal and relay any information you find to me first. If Sader tells you to send him it instead, then either tell him I told you otherwise or just send him fluke data. I don't want him involved in this investigation any more than he needs to be."
She looked over Nova for a sidearm, holding her hand out if she had one.
"And also.. No personal sidearms on the ship. I damn near lost my temper with Sader for even having one on him. We're making this a contained area, and that means we can't have people toting around loaded weapons, even if they only stun. Clear?"

As the Operative entered the medical wing, they could see Hemlock patched up on one of the medical beds, Reyes still loyally by his side. He seemed unconscious, while Reyes merely kept her eyes glued to him, his hand in hers as she waited for him to wake up again.
One of the marines in the room approached the Operative.
"Commander's orders. I can't let anyone talk to the Captain without prior authorization. I assume Nova sent you?"

RE: A Memory Faded - DarkTails - 07-02-2017

"Understood. Saders made himself quite the pain in my investigation, so I'm happy about you being here." Nova turned over her sidearm, instructing her men to setup a checkpoint at the entrance to disarm anyone coming to the ship.

"She did. Wanted an update on how he is. Probably wants a proper chat with him."
