@the conspiracy theorists - MUAHAHAHHAHAHA, you have fallen under my evil plan for Sirius domination.... Okay, not really. Having a chance to fly and fight in these events to as part of the groundwork for things that are predetermined to have already happened when 4.86 is released is, I think , a better plan than simply dumping a new mod on people with a bunch of changes made and no pre-knowledge of how these things occurred. I'm not saying that this happens (just using this as an example) - but would you prefer to just download the mod, open it up, and suddenly find that New Berlin was a cloud of radioactive particles, or would you prefer to stage a fight on the server so you know why and what was the root cause of that.

That's all these events are - a chance for you guys to experience the combats of the big fleets that we simply can't stage on the main server while other people are playing, while seeing some of the background events that take place between 4.85 and 4.86. They don't have to be perfect - just fun.
