Game = supposed to be fun =/= one side completely and utterly has the advantage over the other side = one of the sides doesn't have much fun = they stop playing that side = an important part of the game gone. EDIT: In other words, there's an essential thing that all games need, and that's balance, and this change drastically throws off the balance. The "burden of RP" is on the pirate, having to make a claim and give a reasonable window of time for the trader to reply. Those are the rules. Also for Battleships. You wouldn't have time to do that without a CD. I mean seriously, relax people and think for 2 seconds. |
