Can't believe I missed this notice. Just learned indirectly today of his passing.

Brendan did a lot for me in my time here at Discovery. He brought me into the Angels, he saved me from near-bans a couple times, and he even potentially saved my life once. For that, I am eternally in his debt. I will always fondly remember all the conversations we had and everything he did for me. He was truly one of the finest members of the community in my eyes.

Rest in peace, buddy. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll see you up there on the Good plane. Thanks to you, I have a better chance of that.

I remember the fun times with him, especially with the [Admin]Bear's.Wife char I made once that resulted in epic fun ingame.

I didn't really "lose" people untill him. I didn't know how to express how much he was important to me or if I even wanted people to know about it.

Now you do. I guess I'll always wish we could have spent more time together.

I see all the love coming out of this thread, and it warms my heart to know a pillar of this community is fondly remembered.

His memory lives on.

I never knew the Bear (Brendan) personally, yet I saw him in game. His death marks the death of one of the great people the world could learn from. The message the Bear wrote made me rethink some things, and in the end, the Bear is right. We gain nothing from fighting one another, like he said, "......Why hate, why fight, when every individual on this planet could benefit from the friendly nature of each other person......." This is absolutely true. We own a debt to this great Admin to....well....just be friendlier to each other. I think the Bear would be a bit happier if he knew that we as a community were trying to do that. Like being nice to someone today, or just smiling at someone. A little happiness goes a long way.

May you rest in peace Bear

Although our paths never crossed, it's worth nothing that the sky becomes dimmer with every loss.
May the Mother guide you back into her arms, lovingly. May the other side be as you wished it to be.
