And afaik Croft provided new names and infocards already for both the X-Shuttle (gonna be Tranquility) and the Firefly (gonna be Serenity). Am I right?

First of all i am a huge fan of the series. And i fly a fly since years and it is my most used ship. If the old model will be replaced instead of getting a new "serenity" - damn, this would be the end of my main char then. NEVER, never i will fly another ship.

Imports are getting removed. The current Firefly is an import in addition to the secondary offense of being a bad model.
Get ready to make a new character, if you're that insistent.
