Lawfuls saw me having CAU8 Salvager in NY full of Slaves. They didn't stop me.

Just like how you can always play a Zoner Junker trader and make heaps of credits very easily and with little risk if you lack the imagination to do anything else. I personally hate trading, but of course when I trade I do it in a Junker Salvager because it's just so easy and takes 0 effort (I don't even have to press F3 to dock with lanes, all the profits are based on afk travel through open space, yay).

Would it be possible to get a dev perspective regarding the reasoning behind the Salvager's attributes? Why is it warranted or even needed to have ships that are so drastically different and *better*?

One major reason, it spends a lot of time in very high radiation.

(That is if you are using it for it's intended purpose of mining scrap.)

How is that relevant, considering that equipment will fall down quicker than AU8 Salvager using nanos?

+1 i have been killed many times by the XA in my Salavger with cap 8. Stop your whining, if you cannot take down a Sally then practice or go pirate an easier target.

On the topic - The Salvager needs a review, it's definitely overpowered. It's bats need also to get toned down a little bit, and perhaps it's cargo too. Not too much, just a bit.

If you can't kill a Salvager, you're using the wrong ship. Literally, everyone in this thread who is complaining about the regens is bad, or is flying the incorrect ship for piracy. Small transports are the god ships for piracy right now. I love shooting Salvagers, especially new ones. They turret zoom all the way out, and wonder why they can't hit me with their 500m range guns while I ruin their bootyholes with my 1100m range Charons. :]

Please, for the love of god, just GET GOOD.
