It would give you a chance to meet the family, if you're interested of course.'' he said slowly walking backwards. ''I think there are some fresh formal clothes to be found in the wardrobe, if you want to wear them. Or you can just, change into something you bought, up to you.''

He stopped walking, a puzzled look crossing his face. He didn't even consider what kind of dinner it would be, but he made a safe bet that Alfred would insist that it was formal. ''Yes...Yes I believe it will be.'' he said ''Or at least tidy casual. But, better to come overdressed than under-dressed I think'' Whatever it was, he intended to wear something nice. He had to ensure that he made a good impression, if nothing else.
