SPECIAL BULLETIN

Honorable Conclave,

A most interesting situation has been brought to our attention. On patrol in Omicron Kappa system, an advance unit picked up a gaggle of peculiar contacts on the scanners, and did investigate further. What was discovered is 'baffling' indeed.

As you must have concluded, this situation is developing quickly.

Other reports are coming in from the Sigmas, where the same Noth pilots engaged our fleet.

Hermanos, this report from Sgt. Tito is highly alarming. Just today I have received another report from the Space Port Federation that those sighted Noth vessels are confirmed to be infected by Nomads.

It is obvious that Phoenix is cooperating with Infected – intentionally or not – we cannot be sure. But at this point, we must prepare for the worst and assume that Phoenix is not only working together with Nomads or nomad-infected humans, but they might even be infected themselves. This would indeed explain their abnormal behavior for a supposedly peaceful Zoner group.

Either way, I would suggest we inform all Corsairs as well as the Theta Treaty signatories about this new development very soon. Preventive actions must be taken so that they don’t spread over to more humans! I would strongly advise the Freeport and all other friendly stations in Omicron Theta to deny docking to all Phoenix vessels and introduce extensive decontamination protocols for each and every even minor suspicious ship.

For the Glory of the Imperio!

Honorable High Command,

The sanctity of Omicron Gamma was challenged today when a Rheinland vessel, designated *Vennamis*, breached our space. From the moment of contact, its behavior was erratic, aggressive, and consistent with Rheinlands Tactics. The Custos Imperii immediately scrambled to intercept and neutralize this threat, leading to a fierce engagement over the asteroid fields of Gamma.

The dogfight was nothing short of intense. The *Vennamis*, agile and cunning, attempted to outmaneuver our fighters using advanced thruster bursts and erratic strafing patterns. Its weaponry, though formidable, was no match for the superior tactics and coordination of the Custos Imperii. Each maneuver was countered, and each strike brought us closer to victory.

However, the Rheinland pilot seemed determined to evade destruction, weaving through asteroid clusters and using the environment to its advantage. Anticipating its movements, a tactical decision was made to deploy a Swatter Mine. The *Vennamis*, now cornered and desperate, collided with the mine in a final attempt to escape. The resulting explosion obliterated the vessel, scattering its remains across the field and marking the end of this incursion.

The Custos Imperii sustained no losses during this operation, a testament to the skill, bravery, and preparation of our warriors. This victory not only preserves the sanctity of Omicron Gamma but also sends a clear message to all would-be intruders: Corsair space is impenetrable, and our resolve is unyielding.

**¡Por el honor de nuestros antepasados y el futuro de nuestro imperio, lucharemos hasta el último aliento!**

Engagement Summary:
  • Location: Omicron Gamma
  • Hostile Identified: Rheinland vessel *Vennamis*
  • Outcome: Destroyed in dogfight; final blow delivered by Swatter Mine
  • Corsair Losses: None

Let this serve as a tale of vigilance and a reminder that we are ever watchful. The Wild sought to undermine our strength, but today, they were reminded of the indomitable power of the Corsair Empire.

Glory to the Imperio!

Greetings Amigos,

Today Nicolas Diego's research ship set off for Uncharted 4 to mine Cerulite Crystals for scientific purposes. During the course of the mining operation, the research team made preparations to further map the system. After a certain amount of time, the preparations were completed and the scanners were ready for use.

Vortex in Uncharted 4.

While mapping the system, the research team noticed a vortex in the distance that seemed interesting.
While scanning the vortex, the research team noticed a high concentration of radioactivity, which inevitably led to the scanning being stopped in order to avoid major damage to the research vessel.

As they continued their journey through the system, the research team noticed an unusual rock formation that required further exploration. On their way there, increased drag was detected, which made their journey even more difficult.

Unusual activity.

When approaching the rock formation, the research team noticed an unknown object that was exhibiting unusual activity.
Initial scans have revealed that this is an unstable jump hole, although the team has not been able to figure out where it leads.
After extensive discussions among themselves about what to do next, the team decided to jump through the unknown jumping hole, with the risk of never being able to return home.

Uncharted Space.

During the jump through the hole, some scanners went crazy, as did some on-board instruments.
After entering the unknown system, the team found themselves between different rock formations that are reminiscent of other structures, more like nomadic structures.
After some repair work on the ship, the team set out to research this system.
A star was discovered in the middle of the system that did not allow thorough scans due to very high levels of radioactivity.

Rock Formation.

Furthermore, an inactive structure was found that is very similar to that in Earhart. The structure did not allow for scanning, but the team did notice an unusual glowing rock formation. After a short discussion, the team decided to shoot at the rock formation. After destroying the rock formation, the team found a Damaged Containment Pod, which was loaded into the cargo hold and brought back to Detrrence Sanctum for further investigation.

Uncharted Space Exitpoint.

Due to dwindling resources and repair materials for the research ship, the crew decided to return home. They then set course for the jump hole with which they reached this system. After the jump hole was reached, thorough scans were carried out to ensure that the jump hole was stable. During the scanning process, some deviations were discovered that the crew considered harmless.

Jump preparations were made and the research ship made it to Uncharted 4, but not as the crew expected: they didn't jump out at the point they jumped in. Luckily, this actually worked to their advantage as they jumped near the exit of Uncharted 4. The rest of the journey went without incident and the research team safely reached Deterrence Sanctum where the Damaged Containment Pod was unloaded and is now being further examined.

I will report back if we found more interesting things.

Subject: Containment and Energy Emissions Analysis of Dark Matter Core

Honorable High Command,

--- RESEARCH INITIATIVE REPORT ---
Artifact: Damaged Containment Pod housing a Dark Matter Core.
Status: Secured within Deterrence Sanctums Research Facility; under active observation.
Objective: Stabilize artifact containment and analyze energy emissions for potential applications.

Focus Areas
1. Containment Protocols and Stabilization Efforts
The containment pod was severely damaged during its initial recovery, leaving the Dark Matter Core in a precarious state. Immediate containment measures included isolating the core within a triple-reinforced, radiation-shielded chamber. Additional measures include:

Energy Dampening Fields: These fields regulate energy spikes emitted by the core, preventing overload events that could compromise facility safety.
Cryogenic Stabilization Arrays: Deployed to cool the surrounding area, minimizing the risk of thermal runaway reactions triggered by the core’s energy output.
Automated Lockdown Systems: Rapid-response mechanisms are in place to seal the research chamber in the event of containment breaches.
Despite these precautions, the core exhibits periodic surges of unknown origin, resulting in gravitational distortions localized to the containment chamber. Efforts are ongoing to stabilize these fluctuations without damaging the artifact or compromising its energy potential.

2. Energy Emissions Analysis
Advanced spectrometry and quantum resonance scanners are being utilized to decode the energy signature of the Dark Matter Core. Preliminary observations reveal the following characteristics:

Gravitational Distortions: The core emits irregular gravitational pulses, suggesting an intrinsic connection to localized space-time manipulation. This effect may hold applications in advanced propulsion systems or tactical cloaking technologies.
Electromagnetic Radiation: The core produces a consistent electromagnetic spectrum with peaks in gamma and exotic particle ranges. These emissions have shown potential as a nearly limitless energy source, albeit one requiring further stabilization for safe utilization.
Energy Output Consistency: Despite its volatile state, the core maintains an impressive baseline output, comparable to that of multiple fusion reactors.
To maximize our understanding, controlled simulations are being conducted using smaller energy discharges from the core. These tests have already demonstrated potential for powering high-demand systems, such as long-range hyperspace scanners or experimental weapons platforms.

Challenges and Considerations
Both containment and energy analysis efforts face significant challenges due to the artifact’s volatile nature:

Containment Integrity Risks: Sustained energy surges place strain on containment fields, requiring frequent recalibrations. Backup systems are in development to prevent catastrophic failure.
Unpredictable Emission Patterns: The core occasionally emits particle bursts not aligned with known energy models. These bursts complicate analysis and raise safety concerns for nearby personnel and equipment.
Next Steps
Reinforce containment protocols by developing enhanced energy dampeners and surge protection systems.
Continue mapping the energy spectrum to identify stable extraction points for potential energy harvesting.
Begin experimental integration of core energy with Corsair systems in a controlled off-site facility.
Investigate the relationship between gravitational distortions and the Espira Nula-like structures discovered in uncharted systems.
This Dark Matter Core has the potential to redefine Corsair capabilities in both exploration and defense. The Science Division will continue advancing our understanding while ensuring operational safety. A detailed follow-up report will be submitted upon completion of the next research phase.

Glory to the Imperio!

Commander of the Fabricius, I have reviewed your relayed intelligence. Indeed, the junker is speaking the truth. They are part of a group that works in the ship graveyard around planet Toledo in Omicron Minor. This "Lyudoyed" is some data broker who offered to do investigation on certain groups for the right pay. I took a risk paying, knowing that they could try and run away with the money but the junker kept on its word.

For the findings themselves, they lack specifics, We can't do much with this information. Noth being territorial of the Tokelau Ice field is very telling. Its very possible they could be hiding in there. A full sweep on the entirety of the Ice cloud however, is not possible. It will take too many resources, given our focus is directed elsewhere. Any future work we have in Delta will have to be done more carefully. I have personally fought Noth pilots - they demonstrate proper combat training that could challenge experienced Corsair pilots.

I will archive this on the Freeport Nine databank. For now, we gather more information and repel off their raiding parties. I will contact the junker to use him again for another investigation. When the moment is right, the hammer of the Imperio will fall on them like an ION storm. As the junker stated, they are only a group of fightercraft and a single gunboat, a proper strike group from Crete would reduce them to debris floating among the ice crystals they hide in.
