While on a patrol mission I encountered an Outcast ship using the Jump Gate to Shikoku. I immediately followed. When it tried to escape to the western part of the system, I tried to disrupt his cruise engines, but to no avail. As the chase continued I issued more demands to stop but I was mocked. The situation was not particularly good since I was alone and outclassed. Nevertheless I made one last attempt by firing a volley of cruise disruptors from very long distance. The gambit worked and the target was disrupted. He immediately engaged and the fight started. I asked him again to surrender only to be rejected outright, which sealed his fate.
