This is Dr. Susan Johnson of Manhattan General. I regret to inform you that your CEO, Alisdair Buchanan, was seriously wounded in an incident above Manhattan yesterday evening.
From what we can tell, it appears that a band of Corsair-tagged vessels ambushed the Trafalgar just out of the trade lane from West Point. It appears he only had time to ask them what was going on. Here are the only images retrieved from the Trafalgar's holocam:

When his escape pod was brought to the surface, Mr. Buchanan was in shock, but able to mumble something about "without warning" - and it appears from the logs (or so the authorities tell me) that no message was sent from the attackers to the Trafalgar prior to its destruction. The rest of the crew is in somewhat better shape, and recovering well.
Mr. Buchanan's situation is, as I said, serious, but we do expect him to recover. We will keep you posted on his progress. Please let me know if there is anything further you need.

This is a sad day for Gateway indeed. I will be visiting Sir Alisdair on Manhattan as soon as i can and i will report back on his condition. This is also very unusuall indeed for a group of Corsairs to attack with no warning and i will be taking this issue up with the Liberty Navy. Also i will be posting a bounty on these cowards to teach them and anyone else who would do the same.

I did another Pullman yesterday. Everything was calm both in Bretonia and Omegas. But in New Berlin I encountered a pirate named Caelum. Luckily for Canterbury, we received part of transmission he sended to less lucky trader, so we were able to avoid him. Still, I was quite surprised to meet a pirate in Home system of a major House.

I thank all of you for welcoming me to the fold. I am still familiarizing myself with the Kingstone and all of it's intricacies. It is a beautiful ship, that I am growing to love. I've been doing slightly modified Pullman runs with great success and little pirate activity, although I was assaulted by a very poorly armed Kusari vessel several days ago. I was in a hurry and still not familiar enough with my ship or I would have taught him a lesson.
