Do you mean the part where from 3 attack waves BAF won only one but claims victory because it was the last one?

In a war there are no winners, in a game everybody who enjoyed themselves won.

First 3 waves were while there was unlimited respawns. How could BAF side win while it took less then 30 seconds to rejoin the battle for GRN while BAF needed at least 5-7 minutes to do that?

Second statement is true, yes. But I was speaking from storyline side, which was mentioned in the link.

Well, there was no criteria or objective that could be used to measure who 'won'. The whole event was just for fun. Just goes to show what admin backing and endorsement can do for an event as well.

If the factions had organised this fairly vanilla combat event themselves without any admin involvement they probably would've attracted half as many people. If that.

As for the story announcement, that would've read allied victory whatever the result had been. Needed to in order to justify future events that directly result from this.

I don't see why ppl are arguing, it was fun, the server only crashed once, it was mostly lag free and each side had a victory and a defeat, a big thanks to the devs and admins, honestly I thought limiting the faction numbers would be bad, but it was probs a good desicion.

This is what I love about disco,

Can't wait for the next event! The rules should be similar!

It might be wrote a bit differently if BAF caps were killed before GRN ones. Like "BAF were forced to leave battle area to prepare for next operation while taking heavy losses" or something similar.

As about winning at all, you're right. It was fun and this was main purpose of the event.

It will be better if next time nobody can respawn to battle and we can see who will win really, because 5 battles...and only one victory was on BAF/LNS side..and they won?

RE: Battle event: Raiding Leeds (May 9th) - Sir_Now - 05-10-2015

The first battles BAF/LN where not at full force.
I must say i was suprised when it got for real in the third round when there was no more respawn,
that BAF/LN came back much stronger then in the first rounds.
But then again i was even more suprised that Gallic forces where as strong as they where in the first rounds.
And we at the Gallic side where a lot stronger then i ever expected Gallic forces to be.

There is a nice video here, fun to see my own ship in space :-) ;

Actually we've won, mate.

Huh , i dint know , i was butchered by 3 or 4 capitol ships and Couldn't re-spawn to see end of battle , lol !

RE: Battle event: Raiding Leeds (May 9th) - Komitoza - 05-11-2015

With unlimited respawn ofcourse Liberty/Bretonia lost because Valors just undocked from Leeds or somewhere close by each time they died.
But after the unlimited respawn ended we managed to butcher them.I think.I too wasn't able to stay till the end of the fight sadly.
