RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - UPDATE: Exit Jumphole Located - Skorak - 05-30-2017 Not to devalue that nicely written post(I mean it, there was too much uncalm posts in here). But what was Commune doing there? Do you have ZoI in Hudson too? RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - UPDATE: Exit Jumphole Located - sindroms - 05-30-2017 They do have Independent Systems in their ID, yes. RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - UPDATE: Exit Jumphole Located - The Sovereign - 05-30-2017 TL;DR: The communities all in this together. Even negative feedback, if done correctly, is useful for improvement. The events are great, but could be slightly more fine-tuned to promote more fun for everyone. All in all, none of us would still be playing this game in 2017 if not for the efforts of the admins, devs, and the community together. Thing about critique is that despite people not liking negative feedback, it is also needed it help gain a complete understanding of issues. If we only hear about the good, we don't know what we did wrong. Personally, the points you raised were valid, despite the the fact that the manner you did it in was aggressive. Regardless, as a community we all need to be willing to work together to improve, and as such, even when you get flak for your opinions, don't feel afraid to share them. You're still one of us after all c: Spazzy's done a great job for the events I believe, and it does help with the server population a fair bit, even if the events are difficult for everyone to enjoy. I personally lack any capital ships of measure, and had very little fun attempting the event at first, but after finding a niche as a repair ship and fuel ship for the people who could fight the cultists, I enjoyed it more, and even scored a decent amount of loot. It would be nice to see more cultists, hopefully balanced down to not require fleets of capitals to bring them down, and it would be great to see more of these events focused on both the PvE and PvP, but once again, balanced to make them enjoyable to as many as possible. Of course there are inconsistencies, and people who will abuse any slight loopholes they can find, but thats a problem with those specific players and not the events spirit in general. RE: [Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - UPDATE: Exit Jumphole Located - Toris (Old Account) - 05-30-2017 When it comes to my own experience, the very first expedition has shown that players can cooperate with each other on basis of the pure roleplay, rather than going for blues. True, there was reward to be aquired so that's the very likely reason why mad stuff didn't happened on the very first run. It became one of these roleplays in which a lot of different IDs had been forced cooperate with each other - more or less successfully. Myself, I was quite achieved when that one Coalition and I successfully dragged away the first heavy guy - the only tactic the entire group could employ due to being heavily underarmed. I'm sorry if it wasn't supposed to happen (saying in advance, noticing "exploit abuse" phrase here and there), but this guy's beams could anihilate cruiser in matter of seconds. I didn't know it was an exploit. To be honest, I laughed back when I realized that in Dyson Sphere guys left already and I was sitting for 20 minutes next to the player shadows left after jump. I realized it was terrifying enough, connecting it with Nomad presence just behind Dyson-Major Sphere. For a slight second I thought I was goner, but then that one Irra spared me after getting rid of certain stuff. Well. It was wonderful to feel urge of pure Discovery again. After all, Commune has this goal to "unite the people". This was my chance to, as I said, use the "We're all stranded here" card and for the first time, have this kind of RP with the groups that we usualy are fighting against. And it was very nice, I must say. Kudos to everyone, I really didn't expect that. I'm gonna write nice MD that WILL NOT impact any of Commune views on other groups (as it was said in the OP, there should be no consequences from this event) but it will just describe how Nomak was lost and found by (C~Assassin.03 who was sent to find him.
