Fleet Admiral,

I just received word from Springfield. They've finished putting the Exotic Materials Lab together, but operating it is way below their specialty. I'll be heading over to Denver to our planetside recruitment centre, with luck, I may find the necessary amount of specialists for it.

In the meantime, while my schedule is mainly filled with Springfield's internal affairs and management, I'll be leaving the Umbra in her XO's charge. Commodore Kurosawa might be a stern man, but I trust him more than I do myself.

Fleet Admiral,

While it may have taken me some time, I did manage to recruit the necessary amount of specialists that expressed their will to work for us. The Umbra has successfully transported them to their new workplace. We're going to let them settle in for the moment, but as soon as their working shift starts, the Exotic Materials Lab will be fully operational.

Now, on a different topic. With its recent development, Springfield has a real potential to become an additional ship construction and maintenance yard within Chadwick's proximity. I say, the more - the merrier. Thus, I suggest we provide the station with a drydock. With the ongoing counter-terrorist operation in Pennsylvania and Magellan systems, there isn't going to be a shortage of ships to repair, and with an open drydock, Springfield will give Norfolk some breathing room without stuffing the yards at Juneau with ships that require after-action maintenance.

Rear Admiral,

Excellent work in getting the scientists transported to Springfield, Mister Asterius. Would be good to start processing all of those materials that have been otherwise gathering dust since they were procured.

Regarding the further expansion of constructing a shipyard, I think this would be a highly productive and worth-while venture, not only for the benefit of the Fleet, but for all Liberty Forces. Now that we are in a signed agreement with Deep Space Engineering, it may prove beneficial to contact them with regards to the required materials. Their space-docks at Baltimore are quite impressive, and I'm sure they've the specific material requirements that we would require.

I trust I can leave this in your capable hands, Rear Admiral. Though, should you require assistance please let me know.

Fleet Admiral,

I've just received a classified AAR from Naval Intelligence regarding an illegal installation within the New York system. The station is located in the Detroit debris field, grid C-5; as you can imagine, it's surrounded by junk and won't be easy to approach. In the event of an assault upon the station, I recommend we stage our forces at Detroit Munitions, moving them into position behind the station in grid B-5.

After some digging, I found an approved license application pending verification that Cryer Pharmaceuticals owns and runs the station. I think it's safe to assume this is not the case. The attached data packet should contain everything needed to proceed.

Fleet Admiral,

I just received an update from Springfield. The drydock has finished its construction and is completely operational. While the manufacturing capacity isn't yet matching that of Norfolk, they'll be able to conduct swift maintenance jobs for our ships away from the prying eyes of the public, especially for sensitive cases like the Akhetaten-class.

I'll be running down a trial of local production facilities through a batch order of Avionics Systems to test Springfield's capability of autonomously conducting maintenance and, potentially, construction jobs. Given how we already have DSE on the line, I'll direct them to procure 34,300 units of refined Platinum. I'm opening an announcement board for them and our future contractors for ease of communication.

As a side note, given our proximity to [■■■■■■], I believe it's only fair that we provide our colleagues from LSF with a mooring access.

In the meantime, I will once again take my leave to Denver to recruit additional specialists.

Attention, Springfield Station Personnel and Merchant Marine.

On behalf of the whole fleet and the Admiralty, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude and congratulations. Your hard work, sheer dedication and loyalty has brought the station forth and made it a definite success. At the moment, I won't bother you with upcoming projects. Instead, from this day on and until January 6th of 835 A.S., Springfield will be locked down for quarantine pending its final evaluation.

In other words, you are all granted an R&R and thereby dismissed. Rest assured, those of you who have made home on the station, will be granted a suite in Curacao's finest resort. Rest well, ladies and gentlemen, and happy holidays.

Captain,

I've received a rather worrying communication from the Chief Warden of the Liberty Police, here.

You've forty eight (48) hours to forward the full logs from the Akhetaten's on-board computer. Needless to say, and I think you can anticipate, I'm far from impressed, Captain.

That will be all.

Fleet Admiral,

I have to say I am impressed by the amount of misinformation this recent addition to the colorful roster of the Liberty Police Incorporated brings to the table, and while I expected nothing better from them, even I did not think they'd go as far as to continue their puppet show in the ears of the Admiralty.

I'd like to at least imagine that when that blabbering fool assumed we're helping Revenant he was kidding, but it turns out he was being a hundred percent serious with it. In hindsight, I'm quite glad I simply assumed he was kidding at the time. Otherwise, sir, I might have given the order to have him shot for calling me a traitor that allies with Liberty's enemies in our very capital. Disgraceful words, to say the least. Words backed up by no more than zero amount of proof.

I've attached the relevant communications logs from the referred incident up to the point where the Liberty Police Captain's logs begin. Hopefully this paints the other half of the picture that the Liberty Police so conveniently did not include in their logs.

I don't think my behavior was flawed, Fleet Admiral. I'd say I handled the situation as well as I could've and that if someone has to reflect on their actions, it is not me.

Subject: Standing orders and rules of engagement.

Attention all operatives, officers, and crewmen.

To those that do not know me - I am Commodore Luisa Chiavallati, your direct superior. Beside the admiralty, you are also answering to me. Now, onto the matter at hand.

You must have been briefed on the formal split of Task Force into two Task Groups, our being the second in number, but no smaller in importance. All assigned Operatives, wings and heavy assets are to relocate to Colorado. Distribution will be as follows:

Ohio contingent:
  • LNS New Jersey - flagship.

  • LNS Scarville.

  • LNS Des Moines.
  • LNS Atlanta.
  • LNS Charleston.
  • LNS Memphis.

  • LNS Dragon.

  • Cepheus squadron.
  • Corvus squadron.
  • Lancer squadron.

  • Operative Lavinia.
  • Operative Amethyst.

Tensions with Kusari are on the rise still, border friction getting to unreasonable levels. Ohio contingent will deploy to Houston proper and reinforce the unit stationed at the gate. Main tasks are border security checks, defense of Liberty corporate interests in Galileo - only against the assorted criminals populating the system - and keeping the unlawful activity in check on our side of affairs. Abide by our international treaties, hold fast in the face of potential provocations. Lethal force is only authorised against any unlawful elements threatening the stability of commerce and traverse in the region. Squadrons Cepheus, Corvus, Lancer to perform regular lane patrols, ideally coordinated by an operative coordinating these routine flights. Deviating from friendly lanes is highly discouraged - we must not fuel the tensions with causing unwanted accidents.

Cetus squadron is to locate and document Colorado jump anomalies to Galileo and Kepler. Run weekly investigations determining if old connections have disaligned, report in case of such occurence - with a determined location of a newly formed anomaly.

Pueblo Contingent:
  • LNS Essex.

  • LNS Reprisal - command ship.
  • LNS Providence.

  • LNS Roseburg.

  • Gemini squadron.
  • Cetus squadron.

  • Operative Ash.
  • Operative Sakura.

Kepler is a secondary direction - I do not reasonably expect anyone to be insane enough to attempt traversing this irradiated hell with a sizeable force and maintain sufficient integrity to perform any aggressive actions. However, presence and activity of Lane Hackers and Xenos in the area is not negligible and, since opportunity presents itself - we will reinforce Pueblo's garrison. Deter any and all coordinated assaults as necessary, should such occur. Secondary, but nonetheless high priority task is protection of Hinsdale Refinery. While it is still in construction, it will not be long before it will become essential to the economy of Colorado. It's loss, or even damage that will severely postpone it's completion, is unacceptable. Lethal force is authorised against Xenos, Lane Hackers, and anyone aligning with either of these unawful groups.

Gemini and Cetus will perform routine patrols along the Pueblo - Hinsdale lane and in 20 (twenty) clicks perimeter around the installations, with at least one operative accompanying squadrons. Heavy assets will act as quick response force.

At every time when a patrol routine or threat response is not performed, Pueblo contingent should be prepared to reinforce Ohio contingent as necessary.

That is all, all assignments are effective immediately. Report to your stations within fourty eight hours.

Liberty's eyes are on us, make her proud.

In service to the Republic.

Good evening, Commodore Chiavallati.

Apologies for the delayed reply, the Essex was undergoing minor repairs after a recent Rogue encounter within California. We'll make our way towards Pueblo Station as soon as the main reactor reached its operational capacity again, which should be finished within the next six. We're fully stocked on fighter crafts and bombers, with the next routine inspection scheduled in the next four to six weeks.

With priority clearance our ETA should be less than four hours after departure. My officers are being briefed this very moment to keep downtime to a minimum. A last suggestion though, perhaps it would secure our position in Colorado to have a small contingent of 'Mender'-class repair ships on standby to take care of minor damage, so that especially heavier assets don't have to be taken off the board in the case of a small strikeforce managing to break through and damage the vessels.
