It should look like this
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -dptplayer
With the space and w/o the brackets and with the space.
If you want to add something else, just add a space, then add the thing like -w for windowed mode.
REsulting in something like this:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -dptplayer -w
Of course, -dptplayer can be change by anything, like let say -w
And here is the result.
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -w
