You do realise by saying this, successful troll has been successful, right? How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - Tubalcaine - 11-06-2010 This thread is like potato chips I can't stop reading How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - Shryke - 11-06-2010 You read potato chips? How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - Ayem - 11-06-2010 Dusty took my potato chips away. Maybe they were poisonous? DarthBindo. The stick and carrot is a technique for training horses. Zoners are people. They respond only to credits. How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - silverleaf - 11-06-2010 Too much smack, not enough facts. What am I supposed to do now, are corsairs banned from freeports, or are they not? Because I still see plenty of them. Seems pretty unfair they can attack us, and use our bases. People who attack us shouldn't be able to dock at our freeports, not the faction as a whole, but I don't know the current policy. Request clarification? I know this is about the freeport in theta, but think of it this way, if you go rob a bank, do you think you can just waltz right into another outlet interstate? How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - Walker - 11-06-2010 I read up to maybe page 15... We are on 26 now it looks like? Well, granted I haven't read most of this. Dusty is right, even if he was merely joking about what was said. I read for those 15 pages how somebody would confront you with the ACTUAL problem and you would ignore them. You would wait until somebody says something that is wrong, or NOT the actual problem - Then go off on them and start a useless argument on something that fixes nothing. After going through things - It was brought up multiple times by a few people... The problem is not that your abandoning the Zoners. The problem is not that your powergaming. The problem is that your "alternative" to Zoner food, is stupid. By all means, as a faction, as a people, as a civilization, it is well within your RP to try to perfect yourselves and fix your weaknesses. There is nothing wrong with that; What is wrong is the means of which you go about it. I'm not going to restate perfectly logical explanations given by people pages back. You've read them, you have chose to ignore them, and instead attack something else. Even if you don't "flame" in your attacks, the fact that it is going nowhere because it fixes nothing will eventually cause the actual topic to die. Pursue your quest for Sirius-wide Corsair domination by more legitimate means. I know you don't like me; Or perhaps your not just an affable person. I also know that what I've said now is perhaps a bit rude, blunt, insulting, et caetera... But therein lies the problem that if presented too softly, it goes unheeded. But when presented in a puissant manner, people get stirred up to anger, but the message is at least out. /rant How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - Talesin - 11-06-2010 Greetings. I only read until page 7, i am too busy at the moment, but let me show you the situation from the point of view of a Hessian. ' Wrote:No, because Rheinland are a house and Zoners are <2000 people aboard a station in Omicron Theta. BAF are fighting a defensive war, as are the Mollys. Hessians and Corsairs in Omega 5 are locked together and so are the Corsairs and OCs in Eta. [Disclaimer --> what i write is meant InRP, ofc daily "Gamma Raids" don't happen inRP] Actually it's not that easy. We are not "locked". We are in a constant movement, in a constant war. Daily several douzens of Hessians and Corsairs die, several Ships are scrapped, and that not only in Omega 5, where each Faction holds a side of the system (whilst the middle of the system is covered with wrecks), but also in Omega 47 where the Hessians pushed back the Corsairs back to the Omega 41 Hole which is guarded by Battleship Fes. We, the Hessians are holding Planet Tangier since 7 years now (inRP time), and if i am informed correctly you, the Corsairs, even plan a great offensive to take back Planet Tangier and to conquer Casablanca base to get superior Forces in Omega 47 [next disco version]. Also we're fighting at the Borders of Rheinland space, Omega 15 for example, we sometimes even search for Corsairs entering Omega 3 and Omega 7, though none of our factions has a base there we're also fighting us sporadically there. Also a few times Hessians even enter Omega 41, your doorstep, for reconnaisance missions. The fight, surely isn't static. I don't know how it's like with your other enemies, but i guess it's the same there. So, what i'm wanting to tell: as soon as the Hessians get to know that the Corsairs are moving part of their Vessels from the Battefront back to somewhere else (Theta), we would increase the pressure on their bases. Basically telling: "We are fighting many wars at a time, but we had alot of ingame shippings, and are on good relation with Kusari unlawfuls, so now we've got our own biodomes and eradicated our greatest weakness". Would be like the Hessians telling: "We are fighting many wars at a time, but we had alot of ingame RP Cargo of Ship Materials to our Shipyard: and we are on good relation with IMG, Junkers, Smugglers and lately even with Liberty Unlawfuls which supply us, so we finished terraforming Planet Wiesbaden in O54 and are building our own Battleships on Wolfsburg nau." I hope you see what i meant. Regards, Talesin Edit: Ah, and one more thing. Showing pictures of Legates InGame "bombarding" the FP is like me sneaking with my Hessian Cruiser into Gamma (which is rather easy) and to take screens whilst nuking Crete "RPing" that i just killed 5 Million Corsaris...... or Biodomes. How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction - n00bl3t - 11-06-2010 ' Wrote:ANd i mean, where does the food on fp9 come from? Freeport 9 has re-built biodomes. Freeport XV has food. ' Wrote:If a faction is attacked you better believe it they will use every method available to strike back. Including inviting all of those who want the said attackers dead. Just call it a NAP. If anyone questions it, just point to the BHG|Core's <strike>role-play</strike> thread about it. ' Wrote:@Teek. I daresay more comparisons can be made from Israel to the Zoners. ' Wrote:For curiosity, what's the OC's weakness? Cardamine dependency. Low birth rates. ' Wrote:One cool story. Can we get access to your Skype chat please? ' Wrote:Omicroners: When they're not placing bounties on other Zoners they're trying to start a war. ' Wrote:Mike Rotch is NOT an Omicroner (ZTC). He's an indie on FP9. ' Wrote:Oh please. Mike Rotch is not an Omicroner. Any attempts to link him with the Omicroners will result in the moron trying to form those links, failing, and forming further links with stupidity instead. ' Wrote:They got real, hard evidence on Tomoe breaking the law in Bretonia, so they want him to face trial. Send him there then! Why did you have to be so stubborn and invite half the sirius for a SINGLE person. Haha. I don't get it. Their law says five units of contraband. Not four, which is what Tomoe was carrying. Failing that, the contraband was given to her by the Bretonian Armed Forces Admiral. However, I expect either no response or some piss-poor trolling attempt from you, so eh. ' Wrote:I have something to say to the zoners...... Health reasons have kept me out of the forums and the game. (And no, it was not the game you just lost.) Responding now. Have a nice day. |
