Good luck to ya'll on going official. I have to say personally that my engagements with ya'll in my bomber have forced me to learn how to fly that thing much for nimbly just to live longer. It's a good stress test on my skill levels and helps me seek out areas that I need to do better in. Although I don't personally enjoy the times I've been shot following a few simple lines of RP, I expect it anyways being a Xenos, but neverthless I know what I'm getting in when a reaver shows up.
I personally don't understand what the purpose of Merc factions going official is. I guess the prestige of being "official" is a tag that everyone would love to have on their factions some day.

The reason you can't find the reason for us going official is my fault. I made the mistake of hiding the information in the first post, rather than the last post and working backwards.
Yes. I edited my post. Frankly I was incredulous about the words being employed. I was then convinced that I took the comments a little too close to home by 'ol Cobalt. Good guy. But here's the score. I'm not going to apologize for brevity of speech. It's up to each member of this group to determine what they'll do at each combat op. The standard is set by the server, the idea that I can impose an additional artificial standard which will fit each and every situation is absurd.
Drop your cargo. Engaging the lawdog. And look there, payday in sight. Warm 'em up gents and let's collect a few heads.

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't initially read the first post. But After looking through this thread I figured I'd give the initial post a go at read it fully. I thought it was a very well written and well thought compilation of text.
The reasons in which ya'll are going are quite understandable. It's a noble cause to aspire for your personal ID to better serve and protect your faction. I have first hand experience on this matter regarding the Virulian Enclave. It something we will be attempting for in the future also, given all goes well. So, I digress, valid reason to be going official. I applaud the effort and wish all due haste and success in the matter.
Regarding the XA stuff, yes, your points are very valid. You brought up some very important events that have happened in the past that I am both ashamed and regretful of taking apart of. Some of the few things I wish to improve upon and get better with. Like I stated above, despite my rantings in skype, given time to think about it, I really do cherish the engagements that I get in with you all.
Reason is, I know for a fact that the Reaver name brings along with it some of the best pilots this server has to offer. I know that when a Reaver pops on radar, I can expect exactly whats about to happen. This switches me instantly into a fight or flight mode. Sometimes I'll duck and run, hopefully getting away, but the times I do choose to stand my ground and fight, I know that I personally have to pull every trick and skill that I may or may not have out of the bag to have even the slightest chance at survival. These fights always push me to my very limits. I can not afford the mistakes I make often and usually pay dearly for them.
Of course I die, I almost never live against ya'll, and like I said, despite my raging in vent I consider it a blessing to be able to see where I mess up and see where I can improve so as that I may better have a better chance against you the next time. More and more frequently I've been asking others, usually on my team, how I did, where can I improve, what can I do better. Sometimes I even ask if I -am- actually getting better. And to my surprise and joy, I have gotten better at dodging since I first started, and it's seriously attributed to fighting people like you guys, and the gold wing, and many other skilled pilots.
I won't excuse my past actions that may or may not have cause me to have a less than wanted reputation, for I fully deserve the consequences of my actions. But I do look forward to every chance I can get to get better, and to be better.

What I wanted to say is that Sirius lacks Reavers, imho. That feeling where they can pop up near you and the pop yourself up.
