Toledo Lounge - BLACKSTALKER JC - 04-08-2010 John entered the lounge and came to a dead stop. He had come here to relax after an 8 hour shift patrolling the area around Toledo, but when he entered the lounge he felt as if something was wrong. He took a long look around the lounge for a moment, then made his way to a seat where he would have a unobstructed view of the entire lounge. He knew something was off, and He was determined to figure out what it was. Toledo Lounge - Osilon - 04-09-2010 The woman noticed the new one come in almost instantly. He seemed...detatched, uncomfortable. She smiled to herself, knowing that she was a part of that feeling, though there were other works at play. Toledo Lounge - Waratah - 04-09-2010 From the back corner of the bar, Barnes, holding a pair of aces and 3 Jacks, laid hes cards down and collected the pot. He looked up over the top of his glasses and studied the weary Pilot. Toledo Lounge - Sprolf - 04-09-2010 What could possibly be another part of that feeling the pilot felt was a man who just walked up from a corner of the bar to the bar itself. He was clearly a Coalition pilot, clad in their distinctive black greatcoat and dark, sharp uniform, but the greatcoat's insignia themselves were trimmed with a rather unknown blue colour, possibly indicating some status past his general grade as lieutenant. His face was narrow, drawn, almost unnaturally so, and it gave him the appearance of always looking around at people suspiciously - which was indeed what he usually did. A pair of narrow glasses were perched upon his nose, and from behind those windows, his grey eyes took in everything somewhat passively, it seemed, contradictory to his otherwise sharp looks. It seemed to belie control, or what he felt as control, of his situation and surroundings. It also gave anyone who looked at him for a bit rather cold feeling in their stomach, similar to what one gets when one attempts to beat a cat at a staring contest. A mean cat. He spoke to the bartender in a low voice for a moment, passed him a clear bottle of something, labelled with a worn Coalition-emblazoned sticker, and returned to his seat with a pale green bottle of something else and two shot glasses, glancing about the room as he walked across it swiftly, sleek leather boots tap-tapping across the floor in an unwavering pace. He placed the glasses and bottle on the table carefully, smiling at who he drank with - a rather rough looking Order agent, a navigator aboard a research frigate whose captain had some ties with the SCRA and its research. Toledo Lounge - BLACKSTALKER JC - 04-09-2010 John gazed carfully around the bar, he glanced at the coalition pilot for a moment, then decided it wasnt him he had a bad feeling about. He continued looking around, his gaze drifting across Barnes and a few others until he was staring at a lonely corner of the bar. His gaze lingered there as if he saw something. Toledo Lounge - Osilon - 04-09-2010 The woman felt a small pang of exhaustion, and released the veil that altered perception, rendering her near-invisible. Annoyed, she pulled out a small silver cube with a heart scetched into the top, and placed it on the table. As soon as it left her hand it began to flicked with blue-green light. Toledo Lounge - BLACKSTALKER JC - 04-09-2010 John stared at the box emitting the blue-green light with alot of interest. After considering it for a moment, he decided it was worth investigating and got up. As he walked over he considered what the light could mean. When he arrived he said quietly: "Ok two questions. What kind of personal cloaking system are you using and whats with the box?" Toledo Lounge - Osilon - 04-09-2010 :Personal cloaking system? You got it wrong. You'd have been able to see me if you were observant enough. I was just making you not -want- to see me: She pulled the box towards herself. :And my cube? not telling: Toledo Lounge - BLACKSTALKER JC - 04-09-2010 "First off I saw you before you disabled it. Secondly," He stares at her "You were making us not see you? Either you are infected, which I find unlikely, or you are not as human as you appear." Toledo Lounge - Osilon - 04-09-2010 She grinned, and gave a cute wink. :And what if i'm not? I'm not a human, and i'm not a nomad. What could i be: She said, grinning at John from across the table. She brought her arms above the table, and rested her chin in the palms of them, looking curiously at John with her sparkling blue eyes. |
