Not much, LSF doesn't speak of themselves much in-game. I do know that they do research on classified information.

Well I guess there's nothing much to say about me.I was born in 795 A.S. on 18th of November.I had very pleasant childhood on Planet Manhattan.
In my early ages, my parents used to tell me bed-time stories about the events they have recently been on.It had an effect on me, really, and after few years I decided to go on academy in hope to become worthy of You'r LSF ranks. I haven't any problems with the law, and I'm very sensitive person.I have been well trained on academy, and I hope I'll prove my parent's names.

I have nothing more to add, but if may I please quote Sonya.Mosby becouse I totally agree with her:

Since that day I gained a lot of confidence and gratitude to these people (Admins) who actually tries to make us better game and get rid of those who ruins it, I dont see a problem of re-viewing and sanctioning (while server is down) those who did it before.

Though now when I remember what I've done, I feel sorry and shy for all harm to the others caused by me.
But if there's only one thing I should be happy about, is that my last sanction was (almost) 9 months ago.

I've experienced it, but though I never got kicked out of a faction for rule violation. 'coz my last sanction was long long time ago.

2. Cheating & Hacking

2.1 Following actions are considered cheating on server:

- Using non-Discovery mods, speed-related and loot-related mods especially, as well as using modifications that improve stats of items and ships;
- Changing account information and using any kinds of software that changes normal gameplay;
- Using any equipment not included for sale/looting in Discovery mod, cloaks for example;
- Using equipment that exceeds ship specs;
- Cloning, e.g. creating new characters to collect starting money;
- Single player using two or more computers to fly their own characters.

Keep in mind that maximum allowed cruise speed in Discovery is 350, with higher speed possible only when catching up with a group.

2.2 Threats or attempts to hack server, both successful and unsuccessful, will result in banning server account forever, as well as blocking access to server and to forums.

Which means:

2.1: We can't activate/install any other mods that are NOT related to Discovery mod.It'll be detected as cheating, and we'll get banned.Permanently or not, it's up to admins to decide.

Scenario: Mining mod activated.Instead of 10/12 bonus, person gets over 20 and BOOM mine cheating.Permanently ban.

2.2: Any threats or attempts to hack the server will be taken legal actions againts. (As I hope so). In that case, person who does it gets permanently ban.

Scenario: Oh no! I got sanctionised, You'll pay for that! I'm gonna DDOS attack the server!


3. Rules of conduct


3.2 All messages in system chat must be in understandable English.

3.3 Out-of-character (OOC) chat must not be used in system or local chat. OOC communication in group or private chat between players will cease if one player requests it. Admins are free to communicate with any player at any time.

3.4 Threatening other players with reports and sanctions, attempting to pose as an Admin and using an Admin's name without permission is not allowed.


Which means:


3.2 All messages in system or logal chat must be in understandable English.We can't talk on any other language in sys/local chat instead.

3.3 Out of Character means using smilies in system or local chat.Smilies are restricted in-game , 'coz this is RolePlay server.

Scenario: Hello mate, how are you : D < - That's bad.

3.4 For example, if I threat some-one to get sanctionised, I'll get sanctionised myself instead.

Scenario: You killed me, I'll get you banned now!


5. General PvP Rules


5.1 PvP in Connecticut is freely allowed. No PvP or RP engagement rules apply.

5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.

5.3 Characters that are level 29 and below may only be attacked if at least one of the following conditions is met:

a) They do not have a civilian ID. Recruit IDs should be respected if the person is using it appropriately.
b) They attack you first by draining your shields to 50% or disrupt your cruise engines.
c) They are at the scene of a battle between yourself and someone else and refuse to leave when told to leave. (Civilians should leave the area when combat takes place or accept the risk of being attacked if remaining. Onlookers are fair targets.)
d) Civilians who possess a CODENAME weapon may be attacked within roleplay at any level according to the piracy requirements.


Which means:


5.1 Connecticut is the system which's jump hole is located in the New York system.In Connecticut, RolePlay isn't required.It's training system.

Scenario: /pm //Hey dude, let's go to train in Connecticut a bit ?!

5.2 Before engaging, We gotta get sure there is RolePlay engagement before opening fire. Just shouting : ''Engagiiing!'' or ''HALT'' isn't suifficent, that doesn't gives us a right to fire upon any vessel.If some-one fires Cruise Disruptor at our ships, it's NOT considered as engaging.

Scenario: Read above.

5.3 Characters below lever 30 may NOT be attacked at any conditions.

Scenario: But they may be engaged IF:

a) They do not have a civilian ID. Recruit IDs should be respected if the person is using it appropriately.

Piloting a fighter was part of the Basic trainig, I've accomplished the Bomber training on simulator.

This is not the time of Science, this is the time of Violence. But I am a scientist, and I can't change that. LSF is the Safe Haven of Technology I am looking for.

I don't see many pilots with intensive scientific attitude. Is it useful? It's up to you to decide.

I was born in Los Angeles. After finishing the High School I won the J?nos Neumann Scholarship and moved to Bretonia, Cambridge. I studied Parcticle physics and Electricity. After I doctored, I moved to Leeds, LD-14, as a BMM employee. We were working mostly on increasing mining efficiency with automated personell. Recently we started a project to develop nano-sized rechargeable battery based on the ability of dense MOX molecules to reunite spontanly after fission occured. With such energy source, reusing nanobots may be possible, after recharging.
When the war started, the flow of funds dried out, so it is not possible any more to provide valuable results. Besides, I am an employee, not a patriot in Bretonia.

As an LSF official, we must fill the gap in our homeland security, whatever that may be. This involves tasks from dealing with aliens to taking a torpedo hit to save a battleship. Our Job Description: we don't have a Job Description. Do whatever you have to.

Means: Using any modification of the original game, files and memory, which allows us to do things on the server, we normally could not, because it is not possible, is considered gameplay altering, thus cheating.
Exploiting built-in bugs, that interfere with RP-attitude, or has any negative effect on server or database (Like cloning with a script does, I think) is considered cheating.

3.1 Using coarse language, posting abusive, hateful, racist content in chat, public or private is prohibited under

any circumstances. Any kind of flaming, threatening or insulting language directed at other members, factions or server administrators in chat, public or private, is prohibited on server and on forums. RP-related threats are allowed on the server.

Means: If your GF just left you then, don't log in and start hating everyone system-loud, it won't get you a new one. Open a beer (under 18/21 a non-alcoholic beer, just for the record) and watch a nice movie like Pulp Fiction if you really need that language. Take it easy, your time will come as well.

- I was raised by a group of homeless on planet Manhattan until I reached the age of 12. At which point I went out and worked under the table for many years until at age 17 I could afford my first ship, A starflier. I explored Liberty space and came to love the inhabitants and would put my heart to knife for a chance to see them safe.

More questions will be asked to you, during your interview. If this application is approved, you will be put in our AIT ( agent in training) course for two weeks, where we will determine if you're fit to be a agent in the LSF.

How much do you know about the RP of the LSF? Not a whole lot. Had some run ins on my Outcast character.

What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)? They seem to be very military minded, and they assist the other lawful forces of Liberty especially around Manhattan. RP Style is very militaristic from what I've seen, and as an ex-navy man I can appreciate and follow this. Mainly the LSF focus should be on protecting Liberty and her lawful citizens.

-Section 2 in a nutshell is common sense "No cheating of any form". Basically, play the game and mod we give you or get out, 'nuff said.
-Section 3 is mainly about player conduct, its an rp server so local and system channels are reserved for RP ONLY. OOC is bannable and not tolerated as well as course language and hate speech. Also if a player requests RP in a party, it should be acknowledge and done.
-Section 5 is really long an unorganized, in my own opinion (please dont take offense anyone). Basically though, anyone under level 30 is to be left alone, pvp wise. There has to be some form of RP before a fight can take place and should you be killed in pvp, you arent allowed back in the zone for 24 hours with the exception of the pvp system, Conneticut. It also explains that fleeing and self-detonation are losses and you should leave the system.

On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your in-game Role-playing skills? Roleplaying is easy and fun. As long as the story keeps developing and the people are keeping up with it I can usually RP up to a scale of 9-10.
