Den of the damned - Shagohad - 03-09-2010

Gizmo returns to the bar, a fresh set of grizzled 'paint' adorns its perfect body. The pungent odor of death filling the bar yet again. "Familiar faces," It chides to itself in its childish voice.

Brother Valentine! Sister Djinn! Friend Solari! X-Thing! Oh joy! The machine jubilantly walked in, taking heavy, quick steps. It wheeled about on its heels, wondering who to talk to first.

Den of the damned - lw'nafh - 03-09-2010

X watched the machine through the corner of his eye, though his back was presently turned to it, his rifle slung over his back and his injector still glowing. He looked back to the man that was apparently a 'friend' of Death's...

"Well... Nice to meet you, I guess."

That said, he slowly made his way to the view-port, looking out into space.

Den of the damned - Death.RunningVerminator - 03-11-2010

After a small nap, Death Runner got up and said goodbye to everyone. He quickly rushed out of the bar, and the sound of his Sabre starting up could be heard. He was soon off on his way back to Malta.

Den of the damned - lw'nafh - 03-26-2010

X watched Runner leave the room, slinging his rifle of his shoulder and scanning the populace of the room...

I count..... Thirty seven?

Den of the damned - Osilon - 04-05-2010

From a dark door to the right of the bar, a strange woman comes out. She wore a black trenchcoat and a mask that covered her mouth and head, but still showed her eyes. As she sat at the bar, no body noticed, but the mask seemed to simply disappear from her face.

The barmaid walked up to her and asked, "Anything to drink?"
After a few moments, the woman shook her head, and sat there hunched over.

After a good 15 minutes, a man walked through the door holding a large pistol. Aiming at the woman, he spoke, with a voice that pervaded with malace and fear. "You die now, monster!" He yelled.

Firing several bolts at the woman, he ran towards the stool where she sat. He never reached his target.
When the first bolt was fired, the woman seemed to become like quicksilver, backflipping and avoiding the next four bolts. The last bolt hit her square in the chest, where it left a hole. The edge of the hole became silver, like liquid metal, and then reformed almost instantly. Reaching forward from across the bar, her arm turned that same quicksilver color, stretching at the speed of a spear to strike through the mans chest and pin him to the wall.

As he died, the silver seemed to stretch over his entire body. then, the arm stretched back into its normal shape and form, leaving nothing, not even bones, where the man was.

The woman then spoke in a doubled-up mechanical voice:

:The very fact you still exist was illogical. But now you are dead. And fueling this drone:

Walking back to the bar, she spoke to the bartender, :Actually, if you don't mind, do you have any cake?:

X turned rather quickly at the disruption, switching off the safety on his rifle and readying in it a split second, seeing the hole in the man that had just been killed, his glowing blue eyes now switching to scan a new subject - the 'woman' that had just entered the room.

Appears organic, Commander... However head signatures emanating from its' chest region suggest it was just shot.

Biomechanical?

Potentially.

X continued to observe the new apparition from next to the pane of glass that separates the populace of the room from the void of space, lowering his rifle, but not turning the 'safety' back on.

Den of the damned - Osilon - 04-05-2010

As the woman eats the small slice of chocolate cake sitting on her table, a word is noticed on the shoulder of her trenchcoat. The word was dark red, and spelt out 'GLaDoS'

Den of the damned - lw'nafh - 04-05-2010

X's eyes almost immediately pick this up, X tilting his head to the left in curiosity.

Referencing...

What is it?

Unknown. Name is identical to that given in a response to that transmission you sent out.

Gah, probably a lunatic.

Den of the damned - Osilon - 04-05-2010

Finishing the last bite of cake, GLaDoS extended the mechanical 'psyche' of her formulated body throughout the bar. Most of the people within were boring. Normal people with bad learning. Those whos thoughts were twisted and insane...but there was a few within who bore truly strange echoing chords within their mind. Foremost among these was a person who seemed to speak to himself within his mind, though GLaDoS soon realised the mechanical conciousness that lay within. GLaDoS tilted her head to get a glance at them, and noticed the gun on the ground. Releasing a set of small nanobots, they went across the floor, within the gun and synthesised a small wire that locked the safety on, preventing the gun from firing.
GLaDoS let out a sigh, and dematerialised like dust in the wind, falling into the millions of nanobots who made up her form. Near the being who had so easily captured her interest, her body reformed, joining together the nanites who made up her form, which at that point had her head, tilted, resting on her clasped hands, her elbows resting on the table and a small curious smile on her face.

:I think i may know you..: She said in her lilting, multi-chorded voice.
